"Over the course of his presidency, Joe Biden’s small clutch of advisers have built an increasingly protective circle around him, limiting his exposure to the media and outside advice - an effort to manage public perceptions of the oldest person to ever hold the office and tightly control his political operation.
But inside the White House, Biden’s growing limitations were becoming apparent long before his meltdown in last week’s debate, with the senior team’s management of the president growing more strictly controlled as his term has gone on. During meetings with aides who are putting together formal briefings they’ll deliver to Biden, some senior officials have at times gone to great lengths to curate the information being presented in an effort to avoid provoking a negative reaction."

Its been evident if you have eyes. None of these reports about joe being shielded and hid from the public or his behavior was a surprise to me, we've all seen his handlers shuffle him out of the room as soon as his speech is over. We've all seen him yell like a lunatic at speeches.

There has basically been no one in Washington longer than Biden, they basically would have had to be even older than Biden and still working. He started at age 30 for being a senator, which is the youngest that the constitution allows (25 for representative). He was so young that on election day he was only 29, he only turned 30 before the actual swearing in, so that it was constitutionally allowed. He was a senator all up until being VP in 2009.

It's called being senile. I mean, I know the term has a natural negative connotation like when Tim Pool says "demented", but I mean it the same. Common presentation of senility. My grandma lived with us for several months as she was getting up there. Before it was a bit much and she needed the continual care from a home. Yeah, not pleasant to be around sometimes. Like a bipolar person you're not really sure what mood you catch them in. Confusion from cognitive decline can often set off the "bad moods" too. Edit: Chenk posed a very interesting theory. Keep Biden away from us, not just the other way around. Has some logical progression behind it. Like, do you think he doesn't know? He legit and truthfully doesn't know how badly he's polling? He legit doesn't know how bad the border is? Foreign conflicts? Crazy. Absolutely crazy but my mind is following the logic: Everything is fine Joe. Let's get you some more ice cream. He's out of it. More divel here. While it's been known for a long time that Biden is NOT a nice person, and Trump is certainly not my cuppa tea on a personal level, most of his advisors have clearly stated the he does listen to news he may not want to hear, takes it into consideration, and then makes up his own mind. For instance, when Iran killed one of our drones, Trump was advised to retaliate, but he asked how many people might be killed in a retaliation, and then said a firm "NO"! That is what a leader does. So don't tell more lies. You sound a whole lot like the corporate news media who are pros at gaslighting. You people are obviously trying to imitate them. Shame! Shame! Shame!
