I was in a choir for a number of years. This song is like an agility course for a vocalist. Ascending and Descending staccato notes swapping out with lagoto phrases plus the breath control needed to pull this off. The song is a monster in sheep's clothing. It sounds easy until you try and make it work without tripping over your tongue.

Troy Donockley is amazing. He's English and plays the Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, pump organ, bouzouki, cittern, bodhrán, mandola, harmonium, aerophone and vocals. That was Floor at her brain-melting best - just incredible. Appreciate your insights on how she sets things up. Just shows that no matter your skill level, and her’s is planetary, you can never lose sight of proper technique. She is an absolute pro who takes nothing for granted. Loved it!

Oh my God! Crystal clear! Floor met every vocal and She sang the difficult sequences with lightness in unbelievable perfection. Awesome!! Troy is also perfect in playing the guitar und in supporting Floor the best way possible.

As someone who did ten years of sound in a cabaret bar I appreciate the micwork and I appreciate hearing from someone who appreciates the techs in the context of micwork. The team is bigger than the singer or the band and the cooperation across the whole team within the professional setting is what makes a gig look and sound beautiful. Not taking anything away from Floor here, she's got pipes for days and it's a damn fool says otherwise.

He plays in Nightwish. What does he play? Yes. I think if you give him anything that makes a sound he can make a song of it. And I think only Toumas could use a ulian pipe (sorry if I wrote it wrong) in a metal band and make it sound amazing.

The gitarist is Nightwish’ full member and multi instrumentalist Troy Donockley. Troy is British and was decades Nightwish frequently returning guest musician on studio albums and at live concerts. He entered the band almost at the same time Floor became a full member shortly after Wacken Open Air festival 2013.

Good to see you back with some serious Nightwish stuff. You might consider to do this once more as a double session, starting with the original How is the Heart from the new Human Nature - and then the acoustic version - to dive into yhe tricks Floor uses in the acoustic version to match the studio version. That's quite impressive, clever and just shows how damn good a pro she is. I agree with Troy on the guitar that Floor's voice are Stratospheric, as he calls it in different interviews. Troy is also a brilliant singer by the way, also doing lead singer like Marco in different Nightwish songs. Great reaction and great to see you doing some Nightwish again - they will never disappoint you 🤘🤘🤘

The guitarist is Nightwish's multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley from Cumbria. How on Earth you don't know him by now? The ending of this just phenomenal. All of our glasses are broke!

A number of lines in this song are a callback to Élan off the previous album. For example: Come, surf the clouds , race the dark. It feeds from the runs undone Meet me where the cliff greets the sea Reminds me a bit of the Beatles' "Glass Onion". Troy, who is from your part of the world is an amazing multi-instrumentalist and singer backing the Queen Floor. :) Thomas is having fun writing as complicated lyrics as possible for Floor to experiment with her vocals, which is a passion of hers :)

Troy's singing never gets enough praise, in a lot of the Big Tunes by Nightwish people react to he's singing backing vocals with Marko together, but people never notice. Here some a nice example of how good Troy really is.

You need to understand that on this whole album, Tuomas is hurling vocal challenges at Floor. She has said that some of the songs are going to be really hard to sing live. But if she is anything like this at Wembley Arena in December (I suspect covid will rain it off - grr) I will be more than happy.

I like your reaction and subscribed to see more of your reactions. Floor is one of the most versatile singers I know of. There's a 2nd song they played at planet rock live, Nemo. As you've already reacted to BABYMETAL I'd like to see a reaction to another japanese band called Wagakki Band. This is a metal/rock band with modern and traditional instruments. Their singer Yuko Suzuhana is a shigin master (poetry recital) and vocalist. All of their songs are good and different from each other. I'd recommend 焔 (Homura) + 暁ノ糸 (Akatsuki no Ito) / 1st JAPAN Tour 2015 Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo. These are two songs whereas the first one is only instrumental and second one is with vocals.

Make sure you catch the studio version ( music video) of this song too, you'll get treated to the really low base vocals of Marco, and harmonies between the three singers.

I love your reactions :( & Could you please react to BTS "Boy With Luv" (the live performance of course) they do really really good at singing with doing a choreography with a lot of Jumps & Movement I think you would be impressed, especially Jungkooks adlib at the ending while he is jumping. I recommend watching the performances from SBS, Music Bank(KBS), & Show Music core because you can hear there voices more clearly

They've just finished their second album. You should listen to their first, Sam. It's self-titled. If you listen to it, you'll hear clues as to the sound of Nightwish on HUMAN :||: NATURE. It's like a prelude.

I think this is a gorgeous version but... There's something weird with the beginning of the bridge. I believe Troy forgot to switch to a chord or something cause it sounds dissonant and it doesn't on the studio version. Floor definitely sings the melody right.

Nope, mix sounds perfect to me Sam. A lot of people do not realise that that are R and L speakers in headphones/earphones, and if worn the wrong way round the stereo soundstage is reversed, and audio/visual stimuli will be confused. I am not saying you have done this, just making a point that might make other people realise the situation.
