Hi Stakuyi, you're pretty cool and my favorite Hoi4 tuber. You should try to unify China as Sinkiang, it's probably difficult.

Sinkiang is a surprisingly interesting warlord state since you can do the proclaim rival government to make China and then if you beat the soviets or whoever holds Central Asia you can unite the Turks to core Kazakhstan, the practicality of doing so with the generic warlord tree and actually no supply, especially early enough to dent the Soviets is kinda dubious but it is interesting to say the least

I'd say this is the best possible nation to play in hoi4 which has the greatest story and greatest potential for an amazing rework, unless Hoi5 will be the answer because paradox isn't known for returning to previously updated nations. To anyone playing any Chinese power, (or really any minor power that needs equipment) there is no need to disband your units when you’re low on equipment while World tension is high. Just ask a minor, neutral nation like Tibet, Iran, or one of the South American nations. By around 1939, their weapons production will have outpaced their manpower and they’ll be swimming in small arms and artillery.

For some reason in my run not only did Korea went back to Japan, that little pocket in east Hebei also went back. So basically the map in Asia looks exactly the same after the independence war. All I achieved in nearly four years of game time is not being a puppet any more..

You can clear the banditry the same day the focus completes by just deleting your starting units and letting their rifles return to the stockpile and then you can just immediately start training units again after you click the decisions. Cant remember if the decisions consume rifles but even if it does i think its only 1500 for all 3 and you definitely wont have a rifle issue by the time youre squaring up on japan, especially if you finish the decisions to secure japanese stockpiles. Also, if you staff the court with manchus you cant get rid of that last low legitimacy national spirit

BTW in the current version of the game you *have to* declare independence war early like in this game here. The reason being is soon as Japan takes the ports in China to the south it is game over, expect a brutal grind fest that will last till 1941 due to how the current supply balance basically screws you over if Japan captures the ports, by then it will be too late, the allies will join the war and Japan won't surrender. You have to hit them hard and fast before they land forces, because By Blood Alone has bugged Japan and the region, so you need to win before 1940. Basically you need to follow two guides, this guide and Bittlesteal's guide, since it is out of date, follow the key differences in this guide, do not wait till 1949 to begin independence, the extra two mil factories are not worth it, you need to declare immediately after getting friendly enough for land lease from Germany and Italy, save up your command points, you'll need all of them to seize equipment, you won't have any to spare to give generals passives before you start this way. It is the only way to get these achievements now. Also a heads up, the Communists will declare on China in 1941 and join the allies if you don't knock them out early. So I suggest you pick the option Assert Our Authority, it bypasses a couple of other options which otherwise take ages to get to early. Also I suggest pathing down Tanks and Planes after this, you want to get X-P0 by the start of 1942 for end game propeller fighters 2 years early. The game escalates super quick in 1941, so you need to get everything sorted before then or stuff gets screwy due to the current AI balancing. When you're at war, as any Chinese state in the game there are two nasty events that fire if you do not have stability and war support above 50% after a year of fighting. If your stability is below 50% you'll get workers strikes which cost a lot of political power to deal with and each time it is a roll of the dice, something you can not afford on Iron Man. With War Support below 50% you get desertion which massively debuffs your forces and requires equally a lot of political power to tackle. So you need to get both high and it is cheaper to use decisions to increase it, do not seize land or commandeer trains, this will impact your stability and war support enough to cause these events to fire, wait till you feel safe to do it before you pick these. If you're forced into attrition wars, they will grind down both stability and war support, avoid it if you can, you want to be building supply hubs in 1940+ onwards.

26:49 The reason why you couldn't do the Mandate of Heaven focus is because you didn't get Dalian from the Japanese, that's why you should never join the United Front and instead capitulate Japan by yourself, usually this involves paradropping from South Korea to Kyushu. Not only do you get Dalian, Mengkukuo and Taiwan, you also get Japan as a puppet and you can steal their navy.

Why didn’t you manage to get Korea during the peace deal? Or the port of Dailan for that matter?

I think the problem you had with infantry equipment in China was because the underground work shop makes a lot of guns but while it's active the quality is low

The fastest way to deal with the bandits is to delete your army spend the guns that you got from the army and it would pacified by it within a month or so

About three years ago give or take, I encountered an article about Puyi where it basically tore the guy a new one open, like I don't remember the specifics but the TLDR was that the guy apparently was a huge asshole in his personal life. I tried to corroborate that for the past few the years but never found much on the guy except for him being the last Emperor, him being a puppet, etc. You know the usual stuff. Again, not very related, but anything attached to this guy reminds me of that.
