This is my favorite way of playing Shadow of Chernobyl, I highly recommend the version of Lost Alpha DC Extended that Sidorvich Jr. shares on his videos, it's a 2 part download in his description. It's got the awesome elusive Dead Zone texture pack and Lost Alpha levels are completely different from the stalker/anomaly level sets, i wish someone would port the Lost Alpha levels into a build of Anomaly.

Only negative about this mod is how just surviving is so brutally difficult that it discourages exploring, which an essential part of the original game.

@@bluetherobot eh, I liked searching out hidden stashes, climbing round rooftops, rooting round the map for artifacts, you can find really useful stuff & it's fun imo. Feel this mod tilts the risk/reward for exploration too far into risk.

When you know what you're doing, I honestly think it's easier than vanilla SOC Once I was packing a really good AK and 600 rounds of ammo plus a companion with a shotgun, exploring became a lot more manageable Still hate that dogs can now throw themselves at you, though

As someone who playes this till Pripyat area, I recommend just taking your time and do a bunch of quests to gain income fast. Its also better to find a gun you like and ask a trader to repair it or use a repair kit than to buy cause the price is heavily inflated. Eventually you will get better gear as you progress and stashes will have better loot as well so its balanced well. I would suggest using a rifle with a long range scope with either 7.62mm or 9x39mm to win engagements much easier (SVD PMC is pretty neat for long and medium range). Also, theres new patches for the mod if you haven't yet which fixes and added stuff though I recommend hard saving before patching.

I just started playing this mod on the 1.5 update and am having a lot of fun with it. The MP5A3 with the acog scope is OP early game. You can cheese people from far away before they even see you by switching to single fire, and 9x19 is cheap and abundant.

That's the most 1970s-lookin' AK-74 ever! With the gorgeous wood furniture and the bakelite mag and everything! Fun fact: Bakelite starts out yellow then fades to a darker orange over time. It was replaced by Polyamide-6. The old polyamide parts have that weird purple color. That's just the natural color. At the time, they couldn't get the dye recipe just right. Kept making the mags brittle. Eventually, they got it right, then black became the preferred color. Black is functional but boring.

Great video🔥, I actually started my first stalker experience here on Radiophobia 3.. and boy the pain is brutal but so much fun trying to figure out new was to approach those firefights as AI aim just laser beam you. I wouldn't recommand it for a first stalker experience unless people like challenges and don't want to play the outdated OG games for their reasons. I didn't finish it though..I only finished true stalker which was my first stalker experience to beat... I'm playing GAMMA and loving it. I'm deep in the modding scene and getting the game how I want to play it .I will be going back to play Radiophobia 3 soon though.

Oh wow. As your first experience, that is insane. Definitely need to still try GAMMA, but already tried EFP, True Stalker, and now Radiophobia 3, and glad you enjoyed the video!

Another good and quite challenging mod is "Road To The North". It has a new story line and is in a way similar to CoCMisery.

@@bluetherobot , and another suggestion is Call Of The Zone by DoctorX. It is an amazing freeplay mod, where the quests are not filler and it will give you some -aha- moments.

Man, the endgame of this mod though, woof. I brought in double the ammo and meds into the endgame past the Barrier than I did in vanilla SOC. Better guns too. Plus an RPG with several rockets and 50 VOGs for my revolver grenade launcher. I STILL ended up with a few mags of ammo and a handful of meds to my name by the end in a C-Consciousness chamber with corpses.

In vanilla you can take out the BTR with right click on your knife. It will destroy any breakable object in the game, including helicopters if you could reach them.

What are some of the best reshade presets to use for radiophobia 3? I just have reshades enabled although I wanna tweak it to make it pop more... if that makes sense.

I actually just did my own. Simple. MXAO, HDR, Clarity, Vibrance, and SSAO I believe

Shadow of Chernobyl is the original story driven game, while Anomaly is a mod that really takes all 3 games, and puts it togther with more hardcore survival elements.

How did you manage to play this without it crashing constantly? It looks great but even with patch 1.15 I’m hit with so many crashes to the point where it’s unplayable.

Did you have a previous version save used that got updated to recent patch? That could be it, if not it could also be your pc specs not strong enough to run it.

Alright, right off the bat, you don't need Radiophobia nor should you use it for a first playthrough of Stalker, it's good for a new playthrough but not your first experience in Stalker, using Vanilla is best and these on top afterwards.

You 'vanilla purists' are the worst. Vanilla wasn't even the game that was promised. Mods are closer to the original vision than vanilla ever will be.

@@Bushprowler if you wanna really appreciate the game you'd go vanilla first then the mods so you can get more out of it if you start with the mods then vanilla you feel like you're getting less, not a vanilla purist just saying that if you try those first it'd leave a better taste, albeit anyone can do what they wanna do but this is the course that I'd follow.
