Having owned part of a race team and working till midnight to get a car ready for the next day's race, I know how much work goes into all the layout, design and fabrication months before so my hat is off to you! We also never had the time involved in filming the whole process so I can't imagine how many hours you spend just in that effort. Great content, love your devotion to quality and esthetics, like my old chief mechanic used to say "rain, mud, snow or blood............we'll get 'her done!" :)

As a CAD designer at a large airplane company for nearly 35 years, I appreciate the level of detail you are using. And today seeing a sheet metal flattening model with mold lines and everything made me smile. I remember having to draw those by hand and comb through design tables to get the right sizes. Interesting that I don't see a lot of car fab with any corner relief designed in. I'm enjoying the channel a lot!

Regarding the keyboard warriors, ignore them. 99% of them probably don't know how to change a tire. I think your content is spot on, even the odd distraction like futzing around for a weekend doing burnouts in off road quads. That's just the nature of long term projects, I like that you show the high productivity days as well as the total goof off days, and everything in between. You've also got other projects going on there. So in my opinion, keep doing what you're doing, I personally sincerely appreciate it. My two favorite channels are this one and Homebuilt by Jeff, between the two of you you're helping me a lot in my journey of graduating from parts swapping and bolt on modifications to more and more fabrication. Thank you!

Mike, you have totally unique build going on, you need the time to make sure you get as much right the first time as possible. I am glad to see the steady and methodical progress you are making. Real builds take time, and you're on track to have a total winner. It isn't reality tv and all that drama that attracts the casual fan. Keep plugging along. I look forward every Tuesday and Friday for your next installment.

Definitely agree with your sentiment that this is how an actual build goes, and that it's not always "check 20 things off the list" per episode. I like this build because it shows the reality of doing a build yourself. It's time consuming, time spent waiting for parts, solving issues, and just battling motivation in general. I know a ton of build content only shows compressed content of all the good, and will post from a backlog to make sure they're still putting out that content. You give it to us in almost real time, what you did that week and the issues or achievements you made. Makes it feel more personal, like a long distance buddy giving me an update on his week. Life's a rollercoaster, there will be ups and downs with anything. Just because the majority of KZfaq builds only show the ups doesn't mean you gotta. Great content as always Mike. Really looking forward to see this thing fire up someday! No matter how long it takes.

I already said it multiple times, it's my favorite build on youtube. But what's blows my mind is the production quality of those videos. I definitely won’t stop watching this series until it’s finished, this build is wayyy too cool to stop watching and honestly, I like the reality of it. Stuff rarely goes as planned and when dealing with such a huge project things are going to go wrong or get delayed. This build is also my favourite build on YT at the moment. And I’m following a lot of builds, including Rob Dahm’s 4 rotor, TJ Hunt’s Veilside RX7, Emilia’s big block Mustang, S2S Electric C10 and loads of other builds. And this build is by far the best one.

I think the only people complaining are the ones that have never actually got off their computer chairs and actually worked on anything themselves. Things take time, delays happen, unforseen circumstances come up. It's all a part of the build/modifying process. This isn't just a 'buy stockpile of off the shelf brand name parts, throw them on and call it a day' build, so much is custom fab and that's excellent. Keep up the awesome content as myself and plenty of others love the content!

To whoever thinks this kind of a project takes 2 weeks to finish, then you are probably unaware of how other youtubers manage to make it look like that. They start their projects two years before you actually see the first "episodes" on youtube, then hash out content every week by consolidating them all together. You can still see people taking up projects with no Covid restrictions or masks etc., which clearly means that what you are seeing is over two or three years ago...Keep up the good work Mike, one of my favorite series on KZfaq! P.S. The other one is Rob Dahm's 4Rotor AWD RX7, (which is also taking forever, despite him having a small team behind him) so really awesome to get two episodes with engine harnesses! What are the chances haha.... The longer these projects take, the better for all of us. What if you woke up tomorrow and you were just presented with a ready car???? The journey is more important than the destination!

This is my weekly fix for KZfaq. It is great content and I am learning so much. I have a 1964 GMC 1000 that I am modifying for fit and functionality and it is taking me forever to finish. Trying to solve problems unique to my build and then fabricating is very time consuming. I can't imagine having to add filming and editing by myself to the build. Those that don't appreciate what you're are doing are fools.

That’s the reality, if someone doesn’t get it, then they don’t know it. Working alone ,filming and editing is so frustrating and hard and I get it ,I know that if I’m not filming the actual work I can get double amount of it done by the same time. But that’s not the point ,people be appreciative to that work cuz you may not have this amazing thing to watch at the end. You doing great Mike.

I couldn't disagree more with people who want this series to wrap up faster. I'm LOVING every episode here. All the mundane, detail oriented stuff is exactly why I keep coming back. You show the nitty gritty stuff that many other content creators gloss right over. It's what makes your channel different, and it's the reason I watch every video you put out. I'll honestly be really sad once this project is "done". But, I know you'll have many other projects to look forward to. Keep up what you're doing, and I will keep coming back for more. This may not be my favorite channel. That's only because it's not my favorite type of content. Of the car builders on KZfaq you sir are one of, if not the best I've seen so far. I really appreciate the straight forward method of your workflow and the way you present things. You don't over explain things or make it seem overly complicated and that balance is hard to achieve effectively. You don't really repeat yourself either which is nice because we don't have to sit through 20 minutes of the same information explained 8 times using different wording. While the information is great it can be annoying when you understand what's going on and you really just want to see the work portion of the video. Sure, we can always skip ahead but it's really nice to not have to. Cheers for your channel and here's hoping you break 100k sooner than later.

I don't know if you will see this comment but building a car is just as much about the journey as it is the finished product. I might even say it's more about the journey. Zero complaints here. I am coming in late as I found you from working with Deboss Garage with his truck in your shop. I am struggling a little with not jumping to the end result but I want to see it as it plays out the same as people watching it in real time. I am a struggling KZfaq creator getting into it now and have a blast watching this progress and watching your welding ability improve.

I’ve been waiting forever for someone do to a modern Ferrari 308 build. I’m fascinated with the engine, the custom fabricated parts, learning about AN lines, etc. the quality you’re putting into this build makes it worth watching. I can’t wait to see it run, drive and the finished paint design and wheel selection!!!

For me, each episode regarding your ferrari Honda project is the most waited. I do not care about your other projects, but the most passionate and favorite is this one....! Just waiting to see the wheels !

Your forethought about welding in a stud instead of using a bolt is what quality race car building is all about, great work sir!

I really appreciate the slow process and in depth videos, makes for much more informative content, compared to the vast majority of youtubers.

Took my paps 15 years to build a hot rod - it takes time and thought. Love seeing the work, keep it up - going to be an amazing car when it's done.

As I survived following Project Binky right from the start for almost 8 years, I will easily endure this 308 build of yours... Keep the spirit on!!!!!

Mike, continue to laugh at the haters and keep the mindset that those of us who stick around and appreciate the build are the ones who truly matter the most. We are typically the same as you working on our own stuff and doing it as time & money allow without the ability to snap our fingers and call it done. Thank you for showing the steps and being very real about the obtained goals and also not hiding the failures as we can all learn from them. 🤘🏻😎👍🏻

This is the only channel I look forward to new episodes on - more than Netflix. I think the progress is great. The attention to detail is incredible and quality of finish is just excellent. Not to mention that a LW kitted Ferrari is just the coolest. Keep it up and please get some subtle merch available (in the UK!).

I think the way the creativity of your build is what the most exciting part is. This is all very much delayed gratification, but honestly that's what makes a great! I think you're right in that people don't understand that you're a one-man show and you're doing a lot of custom... anyone who's done any type of custom work knows it takes time. Keep up the awesome work!!👍😎

The things that you are teaching will make guys that really have love for cars and motorsports appreciate what it takes to build super satisfying high quality builds and to me that's what it's all about. Trial and Error

I enjoy the level of detail in each episode. As a person who works in guys own projects. I appreciate it. It not only gives me ideas but inspires me. Keep it up. Excited to see the finish product in time.

I’m in for the ride until the end, man. Your slow pace and step by step approach is exactly the recipe that helps me relax after a day’s work. For all the other people demanding instant gratification, I would recommend watching Overhaulin’ instead. Keep it up!

Your build is my favorite on any platform, not just KZfaq. You also inspire me to put my build out there. I have an extremely long way to go (not only in terms of my project but in terms of video editing and equipment used). With every video I post, I steadily get better and better. Like you, I rather take things slow and get them done right 👍 I am looking forward to your next video!
