I just pull the stock crap out and drop it on the floor where it will fall through to the ground. Then stock it with Cruz. The bottles will stay put perfectly. Instead of avoiding the awesome built in fridge, actually make use of it.

hahaha yeah aegis is just too good at combat. Anvil too. Their visual design doesn't necessarily speak to me (because their ships all look so different) but damn their ships are effective.

thank you! Personally I'd take the redeemer for a duo. I'd put laser cannons on the s5s and that way the ship has 2 size 5 cannons and 4 laser repeaters with big dps output, but most importantly it's reasonably agile and faster than the corsair, while being infinitely tankier.

Thank you! Welcome to the game! If you're looking for pve and you're going to be getting the ship in-game the arrow isn't a bad choice. I'd prefer that over the mustang delta by a lot, actually. The delta is a bit too flimsy and it's got 2 of its weapons on wings that are currently getting blasted off a bit too easily. If you're willing to save up for a sabre, it'd be better to get a vanguard sentinel, they're about at the low 2M aUEC price point. The Hornet is also a fantastic option and its currently great for pvp and solid at pve, so that's a good stretch over the arrow. So the order is Vanguard Sentinel > Hornet > Arrow in my opinion, depending on how much you're willing to spend.

@@WingZeroType Thanks for the reply! :) Mustang has better shields than Arrow but I guess Arrow has hardpoints for rockets. Maybe I could go with arrow and then upgrade to Hornet eventually but which one? Basic?

​@@GrubyRallyYep the basic hornet is great right now. There's not much difference between the four variants for a solo pilot so basic hornet is best unless you want to pay a little bit extra to get the black paint on the ghost model lol. the extra shields of the mustang are nice, but ballistics penetrate through shields so hull hp and where the guns are located is important too. Also, the profile of the arrow is a lot smaller than the mustang so its harder to hit.

if you want pvp it's the vanguard, hands down. Pve it's probably the ion, with vanguard close behind. I responded to your other comment about the repeaters on the vanguard being the reason why :)

Completely agree! And put the storage lockers upstairs and put the gun rack downstairs! Plus this puts an extra airlock between vacuum and the crew compartment. I'm guessing they just couldn't fit all the stuff they wanted to upstairs along with the components.

Yeah in the latest patch they unfortunately seem to have screwed something up with attrition3s and have renamed them something like "reigns". I think it has to do with the new storm tank - that tank has guns that have the same model as the attrition3s but they didn't want it to be the exact same so it seems like they made a "new" gun for the tank but then probably screwed something up in the copy/paste, accidentally deleting attrition 3s temporarily? I hope they come back and it wasn't intentional, because it makes no sense. lol. @@WingZeroType oh I've been holdin onto my Redeemer since 3.16 haha. But yeah I've been making good money with the salvage missions, splurged on an 890 and some other ships and still got some money to spare.

yep its on the list! They're quite good now in 3.20, in my opinion. The buffs they received were really transformative for their gameplay against smaller ships.

@@WingZeroType Agreed! I used my hornet til HRT and Ion after, I was amazed at how efficient the Ion is now. Couple that with a friend in an inferno and there isn't an 890J or Hammerhead in the 'Verse that can stand a chance.

Sorry for the super late reply to your message, life got crazy and i fell behind on YT comments. But I'd say they're two pretty different ships. If you mostly fly solo, I'd say the corsair is a better ship for that, and if you mostly fly with any crew, then the redeemer starts to really start punching in a good weight class. Handling wise, both ships are painfully slow to handle lol. You'll be using lots of boost and roll+strafe to aid in your turning. The corsair isn't as fragile as it used to be, but it still definitely is a lot more fragile than the redeemer. That said, the redeemer's size 5 turrets do occasionally get damaged and become nonfunctional until they're repaired. Personally, if I had to pick one of the two ships for pve combat solo, I'd pretty much always go corsair. The redeemer is SIGNIFICANTLY tankier, but tankiness is less of an issue if the enemies that would be shooting at you are dead ;) That's where 4x s5 weapons come into play

Yeah the Cutlass black is currently extra bugged where it has the infinite size 2 front shield glitch plus a new bug in 3.20 where certain spots on the rear of the cutlass doesn't take damage (or heavily reduced damage, not sure). But yeah the freelancers are super easy to pop, but I honestly also popped hurricanes very quickly as well.

@@WingZeroType I’m still doing 200k beacons solo with my Retaliator.. there’s missile lock issues with the MIS, and I’d rather use an S9 torp against a Buccaneer now, then shoot the MIS by manning my top turret (the ladder animation has been restored, so you won’t die from falling from it now 🤪)

@@WingZeroType NPCs target the player, not ship… I know, because I’ve been killed too many times, at the end of 200k high threat beacons, by freaking Buccaneer hitting my character with an S1 missile or ballistic fire while I was in my tally’s turret

Yeah it's pretty rough for sure. Hopefully we have fixes for the recent bugs coming down the pipe. I've almost given up hope on the s2 shield bug

@@WingZeroType S2 Shield bug, so that's the reason I had a Cutlass Black laughing at me, while under full fire from my Andromeda. And I wondered if they somehow improved NPC shields, that explains a lot.

I'd say omniskys for me, unless im expecting to deal with light or medium fighters, then i'd go with the galdereens

Anything size 5 and above I tend to stick with cannons. Lower rate of fire, yes, but same projectile speed and much higher DPS.

Yep unfortunately they are. Fortunately, it seems they might be fixed in 3.21? But yeah, lots of issues with ship combat currently, unfortunately :( And the fact that they're adding more backend networking changes makes me wonder if it's not going to get worse before it gets better

yeah its definitely a solid ship. Bounties have gotten a bit tankier so the slightly lower dps of this ship compared to ships with S5 hardpoints is a bit more of a concern, but the ship is still really capable.

Solo I still preferer Corsair, you can also do bunkers on it since it fits a vehicle. Multicrew the redeemer for sure, but you may lose some bunker availability.

I think it depends on your playstyle. Corsair does straight up insane dps, but its much more frail and unwieldy to handle than a redeemer to balance that. Corsair also has more multi-role capability since its theoretically an exploration ship. Are you able to buy the redeemer in-game to give it a test run? I'd highly recommend that (or play it on a PTU since they give you 15M aUEC in the PTU to play around with)

I tired the Redeemer and currently have the Corsair. The Redeemer is a bit sluggish at times but is a beast even solo. While I love the interior and storage/versatility (that is fun to look at but I don't use)of my Corsair...It's wings p1ss me off and heaven help you if you get a bounty mission on the dark side of an asteroid belt. In Atmo it's a real pain unless you keep your alt above 3-5k and ONLY back strafe. Also landing in stations, as you know will give you anxiety in the Corsair. I'm probably going to trade in for the Redeemer also.

Okay now that I own both Redeemer and Corsair, and been playing multiple sessions with both, they are definitely different, for Bounty Hunting the Corsair still much better, the DPS is just insane on top of the current VHRTs and ERTs being full of big ships with a lot of shields, using ballistics is a must for efficiency and a full Gatling Corsair can make quick work of almost anything, plus it has storage for some weevil eggs or maze that you may find, it is very sluggish but the Redeemer is not much better in that regard, maybe 10-20% less sluggish at the most. Redeemer is a beast in terms of shields, and hull but the DPS is less than the Corsair`s, although still pretty good, unless you have someone with you for the turrets, also lack of storage limits its availability in a bunch of scenarios, and costing 8 mil VS 3.4 mil for the Corsair (in-game) it`s a bit of a hard sell. CIG needs to balance the price and performance for some of its ships, it`s clear that some are much better than others in scenarios that it shouldn`t, like I don`t think the Corsair should have that much DPS for pilot alone, on top of being multi-role, there`s not many ships that can do what the Corsair can, it`s just too good in too many areas, I don`t know any other ship that can be a better daily driver than this one.

The redeemer will give you a smaller size and repeater-speed projectiles, making it easier to hit smaller targets. So I wouldn't say Herc is better, but the Herc is definitely a solid contender. I'm pretty sure I put it in the S-tier in my last tier list. Corsair is solid too, but it depends on how the server is performing and how prevalent the infinite s2 shields are. Also, the corsair is SLOWWWW. It's really painful to fly 40k in atmosphere with that ship, and smaller ships with less dps easily make up the time by getting in and out faster, not to mention the corsair's a bit brittle. Normally, that'd be fine with some good shield management, but right now with our buggy shields and shield holes, its in a rough spot IMO

@@WingZeroType The Corsair has had a couple of buffs in 3.20, making it tankier. However it has a glitch with its mfd’s that cause a serious hit on graphics fps. CIG apparently has a fix for it (and a couple of other ships with the same mfd bug), but it’s not clear when they will commit it. Indeed it suffers a lot from npc lasers bypassing your shields, as it’s too slow to dodge.
