Star Hotel Riot - Unseen Footage

4 жыл бұрынHere is the original unedited 22 minute of footage shot by the astonishing Barry Nancarrow on the night of the riot. Only 6 min went to air and then the rest has been lost for almost 40 years. After an extensive search we found a copy with archivist Trevor Dare who had got his copy from the police who had used the complete footage back in the day, to make there arrests.

Well there’s a lesson in how NOT to close a pub in Newy. I was eleven when this took place. Rode my treadley down the next morning to check out the melted rubber on the footpath. Thanks for posting.

12.42 is me trying to see what's going on outside as the band and roadies and I were trapped inside. We couldn't leave with all the gear until it was over. I am glad to have been invited by my friend and he kept me safe. If the police had not come in and told them to stop, then start pushing people out none of this would have happened.
