I ride horses also, and i have the mod downloaded on my computer i just have to install it. I have seen lots thing about this mod and i am very impressed as well!

I believe they were looking to upgrade to a 1.18 version, as when they released the mod last month they also discovered that MC 1.16 itself wouldn't recieve support and updates anymore, as far as I understand. So they put out 1.16 so people could play, but are working on making a 1.18 version, at which point the 1.16 mod will be abandoned and not be recieving updates anymore, just like 1.16 MC itself.

SWEM Beta Tester and Barncat here, can confirm what Mermaid said. The team is currently working on a 1.18 release to try and get it to the people as soon as possible.

That was the intention of the owner lol, so you're fulfilling a large part of the mod's purpose 😄

you can use xp potions (found in dungeons, mineshafts, and shipwrecks etc) on a tamed swem horse to level them up quicker. i believe there’s also a command to set levels. as for caring, your horse won’t die if you don’t take care of it, so technically it’s optional

Oh, yeah. The winged horse is an armor you can put on a horse. Using this armor the horse can actually fly. But as far as I know the developers temporarily deactivated that feature because it's still unstable :)

You can change the coat after taming the horse by using redstone or lapis. :)

​@@Onyxisonfire -- To my current knowledge, no commands exist to summon a SWEM horse in a specific coat color.

They first came out with a lighting mod, the whole premise is that you added glow worms to regular blocks to make them emit light. Guess the name stuck.

This is the V1 version in which SWEM horses are only obtainable by potions. They are planning for V2 to have SWEM horse also spawn naturally. As far as I understand this 1.16 version will be abandoned when they upgrade to mod to 1.18, so V2 will likely be for 1.18. And it has been said that a V2 release will possibly be over a year away.

Essentially yes, but only for cantazarite but its a pretty common ore. The owner added in amethyst because they really liked amethyst (and the mod was meant originally for a previous version of minecraft, around 1.15 or so) and they lucked out when minecraft added in amythest in 1.18 etc. And because theyre updating the v1 for 1.18.2 (and all the other versions will be 1.18.2 unless otherwise stated) i believe that the goal is to use the amythest that vanilla minecraft has already, instead of the modded version

To make it a bit more challenging. You can also use other mods to replace the spawn configs of vanilla horses with SWEM horses if that's what you want.
