Seeing Byun play is so nostalgic, I'm glad he's back

I feel like during Byun's military service he was used as a real-time analyst of war games. Being able to move the figures around the map, make the 'pew pew' sounds as needed, and then remove the minis. There's no other way to explain how he kept this wonderful micro and brings us one more step toward a real-life Diva who manually blocks bullets with micro.

The 2 marines and their fallen brethren are the perfect protaganists for a Starcraft movie where the Terrans sacrifice their life, dreams, their loved ones, sons & daughters for a last stand against the aliens. 21:09 was the glorious scene where they were dropped off, each in one corner, fighting alone and yet in unison towards a single target. Their actions however insignificant, has contributed in one step in a battle win against the aliens. Glorious marines.

One of the most entertaining matches I have seen in the last time. This was really awesome from Byun

All the players on the receiving end of Byun's impossible micro and multitasking will have to get together for a How to Stop Byun conference. They will just get Blizzard to remove medevacs or ban players who attack in 4 locations on the map at the same time :-) Seriously, every time I watch Byun I'm thinking, that can't work, nobody can do that... but apparently he can.

Damn...this 2nd game. I would have rage-quit after the 3rd-4th raid, screaming around after realising I suck at the game and finally sitting in the corner rocking back and forth while sobbing the rest of the day. Ahhhh SC2 what a soul crushing game :) I might want to see a doctor though. Maybe Solar should send an Email to Harstem's IODIS :D

well Lowko.. youve seem to have straightened out 1 of your classic mistakes.. "immortal" and "marauder" but now SCV's are drones and command centers are nexus..

The reaper strategy is to punish greedy zergs - Solar spent 600 mins in total for two hatcheries, at the same time Byun for the similar amount of resources could build (with additional gas of course) 12 reapers. There are actually a couple of really simple steps to defend. First: scout, so that you know what's going on early; Second: build spine crawlers in the mineral line. It takes around 5-6 reapers to kill a spine crawler without losing any - and only if they can attack the crawler alone. Third: zergling speed. Reapers are very weak against speedlings. Fourth: retaliate. Send a couple of zerglings to attack barracks or supply depot, so that terran can not send reinforcements anymore and then macro on. That's why terran *must* build at least a single tank when doing reaper push, because otherwise he's dead by zerglings themselves. I'm doing 3x barracks reapers in 3x3 platinum gold league and it actually have around 30-40% success rate only (keep in mind, that in 3x3 allies eventually send in their reinforcements). And actually this technique is least effective against zerg because of queens. Terrans usually have only marines, a lot more rarely tank or hellion (actually you need at least 2 or 3 hellions to do any real damage to reapers); protoss usually sit on a single stalker or zealots (in this case zealots = 0 value and 4 reapers can kill 1 stalker), but zergs have a queen and a bunch of drones and may quickly build a spine crawler and then macro on - this is a point when reapers have to retreat. Keep in mind, that successful reaper push requires friking' lot of attention to micro. Dancing reapers - especially with grenades, which adds a lot of value to such push - consumes enormous amounts of time and often I end up doing very little damage and having no macro at all (3 barracks, lots of resources :)). I actually wanted to ask Lowko somehow, why this technique is not seen often in higher levels - especially when playing aginst terrans or protoss. Try it yourself, build order: SCV, Supply depot, Refinery (saturate fully immediately when finished), Barracks, Barracks, Barracks, Reaper, Reaper, Supply depot, Reaper, Reaper, Attack and CC in the meantime. If you start your last reaper at around 2:01 it is perfect, if around 2:05, it is quite good, if 2:11, it's acceptable, if later - forget it :)

In that second game he really needed corruptors. Not parasitic bomb, not hydras because they're not mobile enough, not mutas those die to bio (marines). You can also use fungal with small groups of hydra lings. They can match bio with medivac I believe, especially if you get good fungals and dispatch the medivacs quickly. I feel like zerg has still some unseen potential, people should get out with zerg ez race lol.

Try this: get baneling nest and lurker den, ling bling hydra lurker, just siege terran with lurkers, kill all counter attacks with blings. Ling clean-up, left-over hydras for any air shut-down denial. Idk if it'd work against toss. I love lurker, I don't like the way people cheese with them (lurker drops). I went to see zerg win a straight up fight with wits and micro. Zergling IS the core zerg unit. Never forget that. The other units are just there to help lings do their job. Any extra lings in an army can be sent to hit other bases.

I feel like Solar could have just made a spine crawler in his natural in the first game. He just threw units at the reapers there without achieving anything when 1-2 spinecrawlers could have just held the natural and a few zerglings positioned at the cliff where you can jump into the main could have shut that down. At 3:13 he could have just not made those 8 lings and placed 2 Spine Crawlers, which can easily fend of 10 or so reapers, and sure, you would have surrendered your third base, but ByuN didnt seem to care about it anyways (didnt even scout it) Instead he just a clicked 70 Zerglings and 7 Queens into the Reapers

Damn that reminds me of the old days, I think "One man army" might be the best nickname for Byun ever!!!

From an outsider point of view it seems like starcraft 2 meta is mainly about doing the most actions per minute possible, unless you are able to cheese with something so out of the ordinary that it catches your opponent completely off guard.
