The Maco Rifle isn't really undersized, it's like M4 Size. Anyway, I love the thing, it's "Realistic", you can see it comes from a military viewpoint and it makes sense (Apart from the square grips that I've never noticed until now.)

yeah the TR-116 clearly needs a smaller carbine cousin say a TR-111. Then issue it standard for all away teams - and give it a full auto "spray and pray" mode. It isn't like select fire should go away in the 2300's+. Although since you're beaming a full velocity round into someone's face...you could even have more fun with HE ammo...that just teleports from a hopper or magazine into someone's skull and BLAMMO. Incendiary too...then you could teleport it into their foot - tactical hotfoot maneuver Neelix Alpha One. Now you take that see-through wall sensor and hook it up to a drone or a real c4isr system and Ezri could have taken out the entire station including Odo from Quark's Bar. Garrak would simply have been jumping with joy. The sad thing is that no one in the station seems to recognize the weapon as being brilliant and simply as a dangerous plot device. Ok except Ezri but she never speaks of it again. (Star Trek seems to have an allergic reaction to continuity and internal consistency). Oh and speaking of that...Hey how about that Dyson Sphere? Picard makes literally the greatest archeological/space discovery in Federation history and he can''t leave FAST enough. Asshole admiralty won't even give him recognition for it and Scotty seems rather unimpressed and more concerned with getting more of that Aldebaran Whiskey in his fat gut. For him it was only seconds that had passed in terms of his age and memory - so he's rather a cunt. Theoretically a completely solid dyson sphere is impossible given the physics we know. Hell even if it were made of neutronium (degenerate matter) - at that size it would practically collapse into a singularity all of its own. It is basically a neutron star that is an AU radius with another star inside! If that doesn't create some sort of recipe for a supernova I don't know what else does! But let us say they use a bunch of teh star's energy to power low level warp fields to displace some of that mass as a sub-space shadow or whatever and so the structure can exist because of SPACE MAGIC. Well - even more reason for the Flagship to park its fat ass in orbit and take charge. Literally the most advanced ship in the fleet and full of prestige - Never again makes mention of it. Yes I know in STO that they attribute it to the Iconians but that is never stated in the episode or anywhere else in canon. Anyhow I think the writers dropped the ball here for a 3 or 4 episode arc and more use of the Romulans or Cardassians.

Anyone ever thought about putting together a Nerf version of these phaser rifles? The Nerf Rampage has been an excellent platform.

The Idea of the last one is great, but i cant enjoy how it looks. Its not sleek enogh to be really really cool. And the MACO Pulse Rifle should be biger, yes its a marine Weopon, suppose to be handy in all enviroments.

It's very clear that the prop designers for these weapons have never spent any time with actual weapons. The ergonomics on these guys are mostly terrible, and they are for the most part, huge and unwieldy. THe Maco rifle is actually a decent size, though it needs some work. Square grips, fixed stocks, lack of sling points, LIGHTS?!? Grip angles are terrible, failure to explain any kind of sighting mechanism, a projectile rifle without a magazine, the list goes on and on. I know this is scifi, but with the amount of time taken to explain untold other fictional phenomena, the smallest effort might have been made here.
