Torque can be a little lower when you think of things in terms of the immaculate speed capabilities that would come from such an engine. Speed of moving(touching) parts does however equal heat, so advanced cooling methods may be needed unless you can derive a way for electromagnetic force to repel a crankshaft instead of using a hard baring or roller method. Maybe weighted rods with some equally weighted metal finger/paddle structures that are forced away with an equivalent charge to the rod being pushed down. It does increase electrical need, however may drastically improve the life of all parts of the motor, being that timing can be accomplished electrically and be even more accurate than chain timing. Think about this though, all of this may be made more possible with the removal of now unnecessary CAMs, Lifters, Heads, Intake, timing equipment, exhaust, you'ld have PLENTY of room to exert more creativity in the weighted parts department to play with different methods of generating that lost torque. I'm down to partner up on this :D But who are we kidding, Honda will buy this early concept and rig the hell out of it by making proprietary parts and incompatible software drivers.

A larger size engine would be cool But not bigger than 49 cc for legal purposes 49 ccs or less you don’t need license registration or insurance And if that’s a problem use a better transmission for torque or high end speed

Many calculations to consider, i.e. a Honda CRV has a 190 HP engine = 75 KW +/-, that's the power do you would need to keep the same performance. How you could get it?

Not really, it's pretty inefficient compared to a normal electric motor (due to the multiple moving parts). It would be cool, sure, but just as a hobby (sorry for the year late, but it's always nice to clear up a doubt).

That motor is long overdue for car motors Nicola Tesla made one by converting the gas engine in his car and powered it with his Tesla coil and a remote control he got the car up to 90mph and he had Rockefeller in the passenger seat freaking out going so fast Tesla wanted and needed Rockefeller's money to invest in this kind of motor but that was a bad idea for Tesla because it was bad for Rockefeller because Rockefeller's wealth came from oil and he was in control of oil and Tesla's motor would be a threat to Rockefeller not Rockefeller JP morgan
