For someone who is (was) anti-Electric watching your adventure has changed my no way no how to I’ll probably end up getting one of these, watching the media talking about their impressions didn’t do anything but the average rider was completely different. I’m a motor head and built high performance moto bikes so maybe I’ll take more electronics classes so I can still make a living in the future. Thanks for bringing us along

I like electric, but, only one problem here. I rode my gas bike from 11.30 to 17.20 yesterday. One visit to petrol station, 5 min there and you ride again. Somebody on electric dirt bike, even with best battery in the world, will say "good bye, i need charger" after 2 hours maximum))) And 2-3 hours with charger and 5 min on petrol station - it`s something different.

Wow. If the battery lasts a little longer than my Alta, it will be plenty for me except maybe in really thick and dry sand. The Alta lasts about as long as most track sessions. The Alta’s biggest problem is the overheat protection. It sounds like these issues have all been worked out. Electric dirt bikes are just easier to ride. They stick to the ground in sweepers and turn and stay in ruts better. As a vet rider out for fun, the added safety of even the Alta, is worth the trade offs. I can’t wait to get my Stark Varg on order.

I love the fact you can tune & adjust the bike on the fly to any track you race plus increase & decrease the engine braking the ergonomics of the bike looks spot on for me & I'm a rider that likes the front brake on the left also I'm probably see if I can get an order placed ASAP I don't mind waiting if it is as good as people say it is

WOW!!! Hahaha! You must had so much fun! I’m just sooo unbelievably happy that I wasn’t the first order, Anton would be so disappointed with my performance and hardly never get any air over the jumps. You are a truly awesome rider. It’s pretty obvious you should go with the rear handbrake option, or what are your thoughts?

What an amazing opportunity! Thank you so much for sharing this. I have been excited to see this bike come to fruition. It seems to be very well engineered. Certainly a step up from anything that has been produced so far. It really seems like Stark has taken a lot of time addressing rider needs and comforts as well as quality and reliability.

I am riding the new Surron Storm Bee and even with a mere 30hp I can out-accelerate 450cc bikes (up to ~100km/h at my top speed). I cannot even imagine what 80hp feels like... Also, I 100% agree with you on the left-hand rear brake. It has been so easy to switch to it, and I noticed a nice improvement in my right-hand turns, plus the finer braking control with my fingers.

WOW.!! I learnt that rear brake on handlebars means “forget about your feet” and simply point and squirt. LOVE IT..!! I WANT ONE..!!

I never doubted the left hand rear brake. I even got the shop to set up my eMTB the same way before delivery and it works (bicycles typically have it the other way with front brake on the left hand side). If I only could get at the scheduled date at the end of July, but I suspect it will be Autumn before I see my bike.

MTB front brakes on the LHS seems to be a North American thing. AFAIK most other countries have the FB on the right, same as a motorcycle. Not sure how NA got that wrong given the Californian dirt bike history. I guess there's nothing to stop you switching the Varg to suit what you're comfortable with.

What is Stark's strategy for Parts and Service for their revolutionary machine? What will be the availability of parts? How many technicians are being trained to work on these machines? This is a dirt bike and things break, not to mention that any new product will have it's share of issues once it is released to the public in mass.

You’ve earned my subscription, awesome video. I preordered my stark the day they were announced. I think the left hand rear brake is one of the biggest sleeper elements of electric. I’ve been riding with it on my Ktm exc and it’s much more conducive to proper “balls of the feet” technique. Can’t wait to get my stark now!

Yeah I went with the hand brake too, I can see it’s obvious advantages, for me anyhow. I ordered mine December 17th, 2021, my new delivery date is October 31, 2023. I am very excited about it!

Yeah I spent my whole life using the right foot brake but I ordered my Stark Varg with the left hand rear brake because it just made the best sense to me.

Yeah this is going to change everything. As long as they create an online store to easily purchase replacement parts, batteries, chargers; and provide enough stock of bikes throughout the US it will be HUGE!!! (When I have the money I’m getting one)

Thanks for the vid, gives some insight to us who ordered them and have been waiting. Super stoked to get it. I had a question though, can it wheelie for fun or loft the front over up coming obstacles like you would by using the clutch at a bit on an MX bike.. since you don't have the clutch?

Yup just wack the throttle. Torque responds instantly and theres a lot of it if you grab a lot of throttle

The 350 won't collect dust. You'll need it for any type of ride over 15 miles. Not to mention, she's I get tired of the Alta and it's a relief to be back on the 350xcf. After all, the gas bikes are def faster on the top end.

All In Good time,corner entry with be rapid! the rear hand brake will have you squaring off with an explosive exit 👌i could imagine low maintenance but keep all pivot points well greased (headstock,s..arm,leavers etc.) It will always have that new solid feel without slackness through wear and tair. Wow!!What a great experience and excellent review Bryan! Hey, can you share a few comments about how the stock Stark suspension felt? Was is good or was it great? Was is easy for you to find clicker settings that worked well for you?

Suspension felt good on the track i rode - plush with great traction but also held up well on bigger hits. Ill be interested to see how it performs here at my local tracks with bigger jumps and more bumps. I do my own suspension work and revalve all my bikes, so ill likely be doing the same to the Varg to suit my personal liking.

You guys were talking about putting a clutch now that would be really cool, things have came so far with E,bikes it's crazy,, I don't clam to be the. Excellent way to introduce the bike to your 1st customer ! And your 1st customer did a GREAT job. I noticed something I would like a lot about this bike w the handbrake option: without anything for your left or right foot to do means that u can ride comfortably on the balls of your feet all the time. That is HUGE HUGE HUGE !! Ken, on the Hudson River

Id say no. The lhrb master cylinder they are using has a more linear actuation than the brembo master cylinder, and i think maybe thats why i liked it because it was so easy to modulate the rear brake.

@@bwhaskell interesting to hear. I would have assumed it would be the best if both levers have the same feeling like on a bicycle…. Will you change the footbrake on your bike to a handbrake ? I am looking forward to the videos (hopefully June) with your own varg and hardcore testing.

A clutch, gears, and last but not least, a foot brake, finally a real electric dirt bike. I've been riding since I was 5 years old, and my instincts / muscle memory is to use the rear brake to bring the bikes nose down when airborne. That's just one example.

Hi Bryan, from watching the ride vids it sounds like you can still get a measure of your speed from the pitch of the whirring sound of the engine. I think that's one of my only concerns is because you don't have gears and no ICE engine sound it would be more difficult to tell how fast you are coming up to jumps but it seems like there is plenty of sound feedback there

Yes there is gear whine coming from the motor and reduction gear. However, after riding electric you realize you just use your sense of speed to guage how fast you need to go, rather than relying on engine sounds like a gas bike.

They are using a Brembo rear master cylinder so you should be able to install a Rekluse front brake kit and have both. Did they have a gauge on the phone that shows you battery level?

No need for rekluse, just like our Altas, use brembo everything, use a clutch master cylinder for the left hand rear brake. They're far superior to rekluse.
