I've been using it for about a week at my various work locations. It is an excellent option for internet on the go outdoors.

Thanks. Confirms 23 - 25w power consumption in another video. It could run 4 hours on 20v 5ah Dewalt tool battery or 52 hours on 100ah 12v lifepo4. This is great! Big thanks to Starlink team not locking it down to proprietary battery or USB power. Hopefully the mini has reverse polarity protection.

I saw as low as 15-18 watts on another channel. However, I think for planning 25 watts is a good number

Hello, thanks for sharing, do you know if the RJ45 Ethernet port can be used with a cable PC port? Thank you very much :D

can you think of any reason that I couldn't build a 5521 to 12v cigarette lighter plug cord? Or maybe even a 5521 to alligator clips to grab any car/boat/RV battery? Thanks for the videos, mine showed up today.

I'm an EE and design electronics for automotive use. The electrical system of a vehicle is generally pretty terrible. There can be high-voltage transients, negative voltage transients, and tons of noise. All of that means that you want a pretty robust power stage to survive for any amount of time. What I'm planning on doing is purchasing a 12V to 24V dc-dc converter and splicing that into the dish's power cable. That will minimize losses in the cable and provide a buffer from the vehicle's power system. The alligator clips straight to the battery would work fine. Just be mindful of not overdischarging it.
