On the end ramp to keep the board from splitting, I stapled a heavy duty winter wrap pipe insulation. Like those noodles . Every time equipment meets cement or asphalt on the edge it looked vulnerable. Replaced when needed is a breeze. 👍😜

I seen so few people do this to their trailers. I can tell you, (you of course already know) the beating the bed of my truck liner has taken with equipment, tools, dirt, etc., so I can only guess the Valspar is only going to add to the life of the plywood and cut down on staining and dings. I’m actually painting my trailer floor now! I’m using the same paint but the oil base. I read the oil base is a little more durable than latex. Good video!

I painted my first pressure washing enclosed trailer floor 5x8 (too small). The bleach that we carried leaked thru the floor and out the back. Within 4 years the frame rusted out. It happens before you notice it. My 6x12 was fitted with a PVC mat including up the walls and after 7 years only one rear corner is rusting out. Had to shore it up with lumber underneath. If you use bleach, you need more than paint. I also have 2 spill trays about 2'x4' to hold the bleach jugs and my 35gal tank. I'm re-doing it this fall and will protect it even more. It's not expensive or difficult to put in a mat now about $300 to buy one shipped to your house.

Didn’t work out so good in my trailer, 2 coats of primer and two coats of Valspar no slip grit porch paint. Mowers bounce around in the trailer so bad, left horrible marks on the floor and walls. Covered it with carpet on the walls 2’ up, vinyl 4’ up to the ceiling, rubber floor mats. Has worked out so much better

How has this held up? I'm getting an enclosed trialer for my small racing sailboat and 4 kayaks. So.... water will get inside. The trailer I'll be buying has particle board, nor plywood.

Is sweeping dirt out of the trailer easy with this coating or does the texture make it difficult? Looks great

For others attempting this task... USE PRIMER BEFORE YOU PAINT. you will thank me in the next 1-3 years...

I was just wondering if you're supposed to prime that raw plywood first before painting it. Now some solid stains and maybe the paint you used is self priming but i would read the back of the paint can i know regular house paint you have to always prime raw wood first if you don't the paint will start peeling off in about 6 months.

Why not just install a rubber flooring with a diamond texture grip?

Was you able to do it with 1 gallon? It says only 50-100 sqft

For pressure washing carrying corrosive chemicals, you should have definitely spend the extra and bought the garage epoxy paint. Another thing “never Valspar always Behr Paint” !!
