How exciting! I'm doing some this weekend. I have Rebecca's World, Petra's Wedding, Black Jack, Eveline, Yvonne and Seniors Hope for pots. Hoping to buy Labyrinth and Wine Eyed Jill ( or Gill?). Happy planting

Were your Dalia tubers all healthy from farmer gracy? I’ve just had tubers delivered from them but have heard on a dahlia Facebook group that some people, got tubers with a disease called gall. I only found out about this gall thing after I ordered.

Oh no! That doesn’t sound good. Of the three, two have sprouted. Healthy leaves. The other has no sign of life. I think it’s dead :/ How’re yours looking? Good luck xx

@@darren-harwoodthe tubers looked fine. But a few of the varieties are the same as the ones other people found gall in after sprouting. Its spread from a soil bacteria. It’s been less than 2 weeks so I think I will return them and not plant them. I have other dahlias I got from Tesco, but because they are also Dutch grown I will not put them in the ground. I will put them in pots just incase. I don’t want gall to spread to my apple trees or roses.
