I love watching these kinds of videos for the little things. Like I have pinned together shapes out of foam, glued them, then removed the pins for yeaaars but not ONCE did I think to use a pair of pliers to get the pins out. Too many times has the top of a pin popped off on my poor fingernails paid the price ripping the needle out of there, gonna use pliers from now on. Great video! I discovered your channel a couple of days ago and I'm excited to see how you continue with this project. Although I'm not an expert on EVA foam, I have done a few things. Here are some hints and tips: First of all, the best way to bond EVA foam is by using contact cement. I don't know what brand there is in your country, but if you look for a bit, I'm sure you'll find it in a hardware store. Also, to use it, you need to put a coat on both surfaces you want to bond and let the glue dry for about 5 minutes (my general rule of thumb is to tap the glue with your finger, if it's no longer tacky it's done). Finally, join the two pieces, aligning each mark, and press them firmly for a minute or two. I only use hot glue to glue other materials to the foam, like velcro and straps. Another thing, with foam this thick it is better to use a very sharp blade rather than scissors, as you need clean cuts to be able to join the pieces with contact cement as cleanly and seamless as possible. You should keep in mind that cutting the foam wears down the blade very quickly, so have a knife sharpener nearby to re-sharpen the blade or change it, if it is one with disposable blades. The third suggestion is that if you want round shapes, I advise you to cut the parts of the pieces that will be joined at a 90º angle, that way when joining them you will not create sharp edges. Also, to make it easier to glue them together, preform the pieces with the heat gun. The heat makes the foam more flexible and it will retain its shape when cooled. Finally, to measure myself, I made a foam ruler, which is basically a long strip of foam the thickness of the foam you want to use, with markings every centimeter (or inch, if you use them). In this way you can measure yourself, as with a measuring tape, but taking into account the thickness of the foam. You could use it to scale the pieces to your size if you need it, or to make your own pieces. I hope these tips help you with the next pieces, I can't wait for the next part!

new maker here! I'm using the same technique with eva foam for my head, but I used contact cement instead of hot glue. It holds up really well despite being stinkier, and if you have foam clay to patch up the seams it can look as good as a resin piece while still being pretty light x3 this project looks amazing!
