Ken and Melissa, we chatted at OSH Van,s gathering. My QB wings arrived the same week yours did. Mine was assembled by Xemplar. I took a lot of pics of dimpled but unriveted holes. I can tell that I definitely have ribs that are laser cut. You can see there is a very slight burn mark in the same relative position on each hole. None of the rivets that were done during the QB process that I can see cracked. These may have been the vendor that did parts as Van engineers has speced and as they talked about during their OSH forum presentation. I would like to exchange some of these photos with you 2 and get some of yours at higher resolution. Always good to get someone else perspective.Fingers crossed, we might be lucky. I also want to share these with the engineers at Vans too for their input. I know you mentioned you planned to do that too. Let me know. Thanks. Paul. I will be one of the builders that will not go with the RV14 anymore. I'm still early enough to change course. My hope now is that I get my tail kit deposit.

U could easily put a Viking Aircraft engine on instead of that Thunderbolt and save tons of money that you may desperately need to finish before all is said and done . The little things really add up towards the end. If yall arw interested in saving any money that would be the way to really save a lot without compromising any performance or safety. On top of that the customer service with Viking is unmatched. Amazing company. Wish yall losts of luck.
