Brazil is the single most biodiverse country in the world, with 15 to 20% of the world's species in one country. On average, 700 new living species are discovered in Brazil each year. For birds alone, they have over 1,900 species!
All that to say, when they chose their state bird symbols, they had a LOT to choose from. There are zero repeats between states, and they chose some really diverse types of birds.
Let's take a tour through the tropics, and I hope you meet a new species along the way!
