The best thing the DCU has going for it right now is time. Having a years gap between the last of the DCEU movies Aquaman and the start of the DCU Superman Legacy. Could serve as a pallet cleanser and hopefully the Snyder cultist finally move on.

I think gunn could easily retroactively put the suicide squad and peacemaker into the DCU I mean peacemaker might be harder just because the justice league showed up at the end but I feel like that’s so minor. Peacemaker worked and Gunn was directly involved I don’t see why they wouldn’t want more of what works in the new universe.

Superman isn't difficult to pull off in the modern world, they just need people that have empathy and understand the character. People said the same thing in the 70s but the cast and crew of the Reeves films respected the character enough to make a faithful movie.

All of a sudden there are stories about Superman Legacy not doing well. From John Campea to Screen Rant just today. Is it orchestrated? Is this a prelude to SL being delayed? If the strike forced the first DCU film to 2026 it won't be SL. It will be Brave and Bold which is a guaranteed win at the BO. Zaslav/Gunn need that. if it doesn't happen both will be out of jobs as the DCU collapses. Early next year a shakeup in Phase 1 will be announced with some projects being canceled and others moved around. WB can't afford to put out C character projects like The Authority until the DCU is established. DC's 2 strongest film IP's are Batman and Wonder Woman. Looking at it from that perspective Batman should be the first film followed by Wonder Woman and then Superman. The Trinity established. Then bring in C characters. But there will be no DCU without the first film knocking it out of the park which is why Brave and Bold will replace Superman legacy as the first film of the DCU.

All of this could have been avoided if they just hired someone that actually understood and respected the DC characters to shape their universe instead of Snyder. Gunn understands and respects comics characters more than most people in Hollywood but he's starting from the worst place possible, a failed cinematic universe that ran off general audiences

As far as the DCU goes, they need to take a step back and not release anything for a few years, take their time to develop things, and not compete with the MCU.

Haven’t watched this video yet to avoid spoilers for Blue Beetle. However, just rewatched The Flash I think it was very good. I know there were some CGI issues and they could have made different choices at the end concerning the different characters from the other universes but that wasn’t really important to the overall movie. Plus Ezra Miller is problematic. I will say that his performance was great playing two different Barrys. The problem at the box office, for at least this movie, had nothing to do with the movie itself.

Idk why people continue to keep ignoring what James Gunn has Said out of his own mouth. He has said 3 different times now that some characters will be recast and others will not. So there is a huge possibility that Gal is still Wonder Woman, Ezra is still The Flash and Jason Mamoa is still Aquaman. Y’all need to stop talking about things when you clearly don’t know what you’re even talking about.
