What was YOUR worst experience in a movie theater?
@Jiddy12345
@Jiddy12345 10 ай бұрын
Paid $15 to see Age of Ultron with a friend and his family in an IMAX theatre. Plush leather seats. Very nice. These kids behind me talked through the entire movie. They were repeatedly shushed. My friend finally lost it. Inexcusable. He has ADD, ADHD, bipolar. It explains it, it does not excuse it. He yells at them in the crowded theatre to shut up. Their mom tells him to calm down. He flips her off. The dad comes and sits beside me, waits until the movie ends then confronts friend about telling his wife to go to hell. They almost fought. Friend gets lectured by his parents on the way home. I should reserve the right to have an usher remove them from the premises but the way he reacted was more over the line.

Brandon is so right about the AMC commercial. lol... I'm already at the movie!!! I was 6 when I saw Ghostbusters II and I was scared of paintings for a while after that. Batman scared me originally lol... I think I even left my older brother watching Transformers because it scared me when Optimus Prime died. I then went to watch House Party with my sister.

worst experience at a movie is watching deadpool in 2016 and somehow some 8~ year olds got in and were sitting right behind me and my friends and they laughed at every sentence at 150 decibels and threw food at me, my friends and other people watching and the package of the food they finished they also threw, worst thing is that the workers didnt care at all

It depends on the movie. But if kids can't behave then no, don't bring them, and don't get pissy when other people don't want them around. Not parenting kids and expecting everyone else to put up with them is just selfish.

I've never had a problem with kids or talking in the cinema. But I hate it when people book front row seats so they can go on their phones thinking that people won't notice it because of how close they are to the screen

Worst movie experience: Star Wars: TFA and the guy who sat next to me with his son (when he could have moved over by one seat) kept texting and I asked him to stop. He ignored. Then did it again and I told him to knock it off but he ignored me, so I had to shove him in the arm just to get him to respond. At the end of the movie he tried to "explain" that it was his wife and he always answers her texts, which if she knew he was at the movies and knew he never ignored her texts made her an asshole too. Pet Peeve is that the ticket app insists on pushing people together in the middle even after opening weekend and that's now how movie audiences naturally choose seats. And yes, texting or turning on your phone for any reason. Yes, everyone can see it. Yes, it is annoying. Movie too young: Blue Velvet, and A Clockwork Orange. Coolest movie experience: I went to see The Matrix in the middle of the week a few weeks after it was out so I got the entire theater to myself. The real world felt pretty surreal for a few hours after that. Also the completely in-synch audible gasp from the entire audience at The Sixth Sense. And of course Endgame opening weekend.

I saw Barbie for cinema day. Lots of people using their phone to find their seats. There was 2 group of teens that were clearly theater hoping. There was a couple to my left the guy talked on his phone and the woman would use her boyfriends light to make sure her shopping bags hadn't spilled out

I went to see barbie a few weeks ago and some dude sat in front of me with like a whole vat of cologne on. This made the person behind me sniffle constantly. Super loudly. Like not a normal little sniffle. But a sniffle with gunk and probably a deviated septum or something. He did not go blow his nose or do anything to deal with it and did this every second or so for the whole movie expect for the few minutes where he fell asleep and snored. His girlfriend was next to him the whole time and I have no clue why she didn’t say something. It was awful. I literally can’t remember chunks of the movie because this was so infuriating. I’m sure people reading think I’m being dramatic but I would dare you to go sit through that. Everyone was turning back to stare at him constantly. But of course he did not notice. I’m sympathetic because of the cologne but come on. At least go get a Kleenex!

Got a free ticket to the 2010 Wolfman....okay, fine. I bought the ticket. Shut up. Anyway. Couple of teens got bored and started shouting obscenities. A woman three rows from the screen yelled back at them "Can you knock it off. I have a child here!" At least 75% of the audience absolutely lost it at her retort.

I went to see House of Flying Daggers. There was a group of teenagers that were very loudly making fun of the movie. One would make fun of the actors speaking Chinese, which is not just stupid but racist. The other would go "Woah" every time there is something involving martial arts. I am not sure if he had never seen martial arts before or was doing Keanu Reeves impression. The other would make a comment about how unrealistic the movie was. Everyone kept yelling for them to shut up, but that never happened. Almost got into a fist fight with them.

Talkers are always my biggest issue. So many people seem to go to the movies to have a conversation. I don't get it. My worst experience was at Across The Universe. A young boy's birthday group being "watched" by fathers. Kids were running around and yelling the entire time. Kept getting employees, but the kids were also running in and out the the theater so when an employee started towards the door they let the other know and they stopped. After the movie we bitched. Just then the kids and the fathers came into the lobby and almost knocked down an older lady. The manager told them to knock it off, but they didn't listen. Even though I have Unlimited they gave us a couple free passes.

Just got back from a 9am movie. I can at this time because it’s empty. There was a group of two and a group of 5 and myself. We all chose different rows. 1 min before the movie starts walks in some jerk that picks a seat two away from mine. There were still completely empty rows. He’s also the guy I can hear mouth breathing and clearing his nasal passage through the whole movie. Took a leak 20 mins in and sat in a different row. What I hate the most
