WandaVision / Hawkeye / Secret Invasion / Moon Knight - These are all limited series, so no more were in talks while they were being produced. Falcon & Winter Solider - No second season, but spun into 2x upcoming movies (Cap 4 + Thunderbolts) She-Hulk is the only series which was most likely meant to have a second season, but no longer is. Everything else was planned to be a one season event, which is partly why the strike happened; Marvel/Disney were not allowing shows to have multiple seasons. It’s like everyone just forgot the strike happened and WHY it happened.

I want DareDevil born again to pick up right after s3 and take place during the blip. Imagine, Matt finally reunited with the only 2 people he cares about and has been reunited with just for them to vanish without a trace. All the dark and gritty shit that took place during that time. As I understand it, Wandavision was labeled as a limited series. Whether that was a different calssification by the time the next series cameout, is unclear to me, to when they changed it to miniseries instead. So I took it as one off series and every subsequent show had potential for second seasons.

When End Game came out, I felt they missed a chance to throw in some new characters (I know, it already had them ALL). I mean, five years have passed and no new super-powered people popped up. Would have been cool to see the remaining Avengers before everyone was restored with a new member or two. With the world in disarray after the snap, there HAD to be some bad guy trying to take advantage. Just sayin’, it would have been kinda cool to see Luke Cage hanging out with Cap and Widow.

45:30 Yes we do get the mature rating for Echo which is a great a step in that direction…. but I feel there’s a deeper darkness in the minds of the villains with the Netflix series that put them over the top. The Netflix series not only dive deeply into the villains mind but also the heroes/the protagonists mind. It’s a rare raw view into what some of the darkest moments a human can face.

Stop thinking of these as 'shows' think of them more in comic book terms. Lots of characters get limited run 4-12 issue runs that may overlap with a couple other characters but come to a conclusion. Moon Knight and She Hulk are two that I think kinda shot their shot, i'll be happy to see them overlap with other people here and there and maybe down the road you give them another short run. You don't have to grind these characters down and milk them for every plotline. I'm thinking about classic comics runs like the 82 claremont/miller wolverine books, the original 1602 books, that weird nightcrawler limited series where he visits the bamf dimension, daredevil noir, etc It seem fashionable right now to praise the old netflix stuff but as someone who just tried to go back and rewatch. While there are great episodes in there every season of every series is at least twice as long as it should have been. I actually think iron fist season one could have been great if it were maybe 4-6 episodes. Daredevil season two would have been great if it was half the length and just the punisher arc, maybe electra would have worked better if it was also a separate shorter season though I think my biggest problem there was just the actress. This also ties into some of the people who shit on a series because they miss the marvel 'tone'. To me, thank god they do.. the mainline marvel tone is fine and all but sometimes I like something a little darker like echo and sometimes I want something a little zanier like she-hulk. Not every character deserves or needs a long running series, sometimes it's just nice to have a short season of a funny lawyer show. What I'm saying is even the most die hard marvel comic book fans don't read every book, they find their favs they stick with them and sometimes follow a crossover to another book, or pick up a limited series because 'why not'. I think kevin is trying to ween us off a super connected universe where you need to watch everything to 'get it' into a world where maybe you didn't watch hawkeye but you did catch echo .. and maybe you wanted more echo afterwards so maybe you go back and try hawkeye.. but you don't need either to make sense of either... sorry for the ramble.

All shows can get second seasons except Wanda Vis, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Echo. The writing just has to be so much better so they can redeem these characters and get people back on board.

Regarding Marvel shows not getting the viewership I can confirm the casual fans just aren't taking notice. I have a couple of friends with Disney plus, who enjoy all the marvel movies and will ocassionally go to the cinema to catch them. However I'm the one who needs to tell them that a new marvel show dropped on Disney plus. Because they don't really take note of social media or take much note the Disney plus menu. With all due respect to these friends they are definitely "normies" who don't keep their eyes peeled or ears to the ground.

Why their not getting second seasons is honestly because alot of these shows aren't connecting with the audience neither the diehard fans or casual audience is loving these shows unfortunately

What’s Brandon’s Accent I Can’t Put My Finger On It (I mean more region specific like stateside)

She-Hulk WAS TERRIBLE!!!! I LOVEEEE THE CASTING! And I enjoyed the portrayal. I just think the writing was sooo underwhelming and confusing. The jokes landed about 15% of the time and with the amount of jokes that’s pretty awful. I don’t blame the actors I blame the writing B and directing. But an even bigger reason it was terrible was how confusing the writing was. What even was the plot? It changed literally 3-5 times and episode it seemed like. It was a hero origins story, then we got a legal comedy for all of 1 episode when that’s how the show was described, then we got a rom com for an episode or two, and a very on the nose female empowerment show about a woman finding herself, etc. Also I think that the fourth wall break was fun but the last big one they did was terrible!! Because they basically in my opinion spit in the fans of Marvel content because they basically made it canon that everything we have seen is just an in universe movie created by an AI robot in order to make Disney money. I’m sorry but that part just was too far for me. Because now anything important and any character past present or future is basically just an in universe movie created by AI. Yes I know these characters and stories aren’t real…but to make it that in universe the movies we are watching are movies within the movie universe. Confusing and lame in my opinion.

Look, I'm saying this as a Marvel defender: I have no issues with She-Hulk not getting a second season. That first one was cringey at best and the final episode with that 4th wall breaking just barely made the show worth watching instead of seeing the recaps on the main channel.

They should have considered a practical solution for She-Hulk. Have a tall strong looking actress play her. Make up is cheaper than CGI.

Oh you mean make the other Hulk exactly like Bruce Banner's Hulk who doesn't have their own project and only shows up in other people's projects or team ups? Yeah cause that worked so well for Hulk the first time around...Being a new Avenger, also doesn't look great not being able to have their own stories and is literally just genderswapping and objectifying the Hulks for their body, literally and they're no more than the muscle. Very disappointed because after WandaVision, it was the only Marvel show that felt like a show and not a 6-part movie. It was also unique for a change and could've kept a new demographic. I really hope Disney sees the response and changes their mind because of all the shows to get a Season 2, it's one of the only that actually makes sense to give it a second season

Madame Web doesn’t look good for one reason: it has the same writers as Morbius. As long as that is fact, I cannot get excited for it. Even if you ignore Morbius, they’re also the guys who wrote Gods of Egypt, Dracula Untold, The Last Witch Hunter and Power Rangers 2017. Try defending such an abysmal track record.
