They already are crashing. I’ve been watching movement on the “hot models” for some time. Some dealers have been holding the same watch for over a year. On average price are down 20% and continuing to fall. I love it and I am a rolex owner. Let the grey market crash and 🔥 :)

In 2019 I picked up 4 Rolex-sub date, Explorer, dj41, and two tone rootbeer. Since then I haven’t been offered anything, I guess I’m good on Rolex but it is disappointing I haven’t been offered anything. I’m sure if the economy tanks I’ll get a call ☎️ but now I’m not sure if I’ll buy 🤷‍♂️! Best regards

Good one!! My view is that globally we’re at the early innings of a debt crisis and cash flow is being affected and will continue with every rate hike, from small families to big corp.

Hey brother I enjoy your videos and appreciate the time behind making them. I don’t have as many watches as you do, but I do have the 39 mm Explorer MKII and the Sub 41 two tone black dial. Like you I am now hoping to add a Sub 41 No Date. And I too am from Illinois. About two hours south of you. 👍🏼 What do you. 😁🙏

Did you sell your Sea Dweller 50th anniversary? If so why as I thought it was your favourite watch? Love your collection by the way would have one similar if I could afford it. I have the Sea Dweller 50th anniversary mark 2 and love it.

I did sell it :(. Was a very hard decision. Aesthetically it was definitely my favorite watch in my collection. As I’ve gotten older wearability is really the most important thing to me. When I tried on the new Sub 41mm when it came out I fell in love it with, hence why I now have two iterations of it. I’m going to make a vid on this topic I think 🤔 🍻.

The Batgirl unworn for sale online today at 19,214 USD. The drop is on. Most grey are trying to keep their cards close to their vest, but they’re not selling. That Batgirl was publicized yesterday as a deal of the day… it didn’t sell, and is still sitting at that price (lowest grey price I’ve seen on it in some time.). And that’s from a reputable grey dealer.

I’m not surprised. Most smart people are waiting to see what the economy does. I wouldn’t be buying Grey market right now. From an authorized dealer sure. Other than that …no way. 🍻

This is the most informative channel regarding watch prices I have come across on you tube. Well done my man, you are spot on. Ive been saying for months to anyone that would listen..the stock market followed by BTC, has had a boom that can not be sustained, watches are correlated at the moment..hence the price drop. I expect to see BTC down around $13000 to pre-pandemic levels..I wonder if the watches will stay correlated??

Its only a crash if you didnt buy at retail. Otherwise you are up vs. last year at the same time. Look for opportunities to buy.

Somebody said "it's the economy stupid"!! True now as it was then. Don't just look at the watch market for signs. Look at the overall economy to be ahead of the curve

Okay so having spoke to a few individuals who work within the finance world here in London. Oh boy things at the moment here in the U.K. and over in America are fantastic,their brilliant in comparison to how things will be come the end of 2024… oh geee anyone who thinks it’s bad now good Lord your not going to be happy come end 2023 into 2024. I’m saving to harvest cheap Rolex’s then as I’m highly highly confident I’ll Grab a few Batman/batgirl whatever their called for £6,000GBP. Not forgetting a previous model Kermit sold at auction here in the U.K. for £4,000GBP!. It was certified by three independent watch experts as being genuine as we know this because it was all televised here in the U.K.!. Auction dictates the actual price people are willing to pay!. You can list a Kermit for £30,000 but doesn’t mean anyone will buy it thus it doesn’t make it worth that much!. Anyone who’ve purchased luxury watches at the peak is fxcked, particularly those who borrowed or used savings they can’t afford to loose!. God help those people in 2024, when their £22k Rolex gmt2 is selling for £5k!.

Looks awesome! Got offered a “used” 2022 126710BLRO Friday and countered them.. will find out tomorrow. Thoughts on AD’s conveniently having Rolex’s not on display magically appearing from the back and asking high gray market prices? I’m close to buying a Tudor gmt Pepsi, figure I can’t get hurt and will enjoy it while hoping for a new Rolex of my three choices. I’ve never owned a Tudor but the salty horologist said they’re underrated pieces with the new movements and materials for fair prices. Thanks

Go with the Tudor Pepsi. However, either go brand new or a 2020 model and up. I’m on my second GMT because the 1st one had the date wheel issue. Luckily the grey market dealer returned the watch and I was able to buy a new one. Curious, did you get your Batman? If so at what price? I have the 116710ln expresso. My heart wants the Batman, but prices are still too high.

@@hutchman0823 Thanks Hutchman, I’m aware of past date wheel issues but appreciate you mentioning it nonetheless. *Did you make a typo 116710 LN “expresso”? If it’s what I’m thinking, that’s a badass watch and would rather have that than a Batman or Pepsi tbh. The ad has a used 2020 Tudor Gmt Pepsi and all variant bands/clasps on new gmt’s and bb pros available now. I’m working on some trade options for one of my Carreras and super avenger for an ap 14500st that’s dropped 16k in a month from the previous asking price… not in any hurry for used pieces given the market. That’s a 2022 Rolex pepsi reference # 126710BLRO, but no I didn’t pull the trigger. Funny enough, the ad texted me a photo of the Batman/batgirl 126710BLNR yesterday that is available and am going in to look at tomorrow afternoon… I’ll let you know. I ended up lowballing them with 19k (pepsi) and 17k for a Kermit respectfully… They’re asking 24.9 and 23.9. I’m not really interested or pumped about new watches being labeled as used from an ad, certainly not Rolex and think it’s kind of bullshit tbh and a reason why I stepped aside for over a decade. Luckily I reconnected with my previous ad out of state and made contact with another in my new area. My best bud is a grayish market dealer with a Tudor rep connection so something will happen, especially at his cost for Tudors that totally justifies holding out or not rushing imho.

@@2K9s thanks for the reply. No typo. I have a Rolex 116710ln which some call expresso. I sold my milgauss and saved up a bit for this watch. The Milgauss is a great watch but I enjoy the gmt much more.

I’ve always wanted a milgauss, love the case shape but there’s something about sport watches that have such a strong presence. What color dial was your milgauss and do you regret selling?

I think once the war is over and if this pandemic is ever really over prices will shoot up again very quickly. Rolex are always in demand and generally there are a lot more wealthy people around these days. Love the bluesy!

You're deluding yourself if you think this is a minor correction. Luxury goods are the first to tank in a recession. Expect a 50%+ haircut over the next 2-years.

People who say that it’s going to crash and told you so it’s usually the people who don’t have the stuff even in luxury cars don’t buy a Ferrari home the stock market drop in price also plus we’re not meant to live forever live your life we all die eventually you can’t play too safe If you don’t make moves you’ll never have this in life there’s more to life than just the stock market and property I myself go out and have a five another steak dinner and go gamble thousand bucks just for entertainment so when I gamble and I looked in the window I’m just trying to get a run for my money for enjoyment causes same thing with luxury items enjoyed it goes up good if it doesn’t go again
