I have a 6.5 inch wrist and don’t have an issue with the thickness of the case.

I am currently in the market for one of these watches. I would be over the moon once I find that perfect specimen, but I can’t imagine the sentimental value of being inherited from your father. My small two cents is never polish that watch and carry on the markings in honor of your father.

Can’t beat a Bluesy! It’s fun having a bracelet that you admire as much as the actual dial. The clasp is long but catches the light very nicely in the sunlight and just looks great. I’ll hold off selling my steel Sub - that one’s been in too many adventures over the years and it’s nice having both new and old ceramic variants of this piece. The Sub Date is the iconic Rolex.

I heritage the exame same from my father. 49 years ago he bought it. Never serviced. Still working perfectly.

Date wheel issue was corrected in 2019. Tudor has a 5 year factory warranty.

The band says Geneve. Tudor does this on the GMT. All Swiss made.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist and it looks and wears perfectly on my wrist. I also have the Omega Planet Ocean and it wears a little larger than the SD43, still wears great on my wrist. I think the shape of the wrist is just as important as the size.

I bought mine at official Rolex dealer 4 weeks ago, for some reason the bracelet makes a lot of squeaky noises.

The reason you’re liking 36mm dress and 39mm sport/casual sizes is because they actually fit you properly.

Tbh a date just 41 is just as light on the wrist . I recently got the new sub 41 and it's so heavy lol

Looks great on your wrist. I have the same size wrist. I’ve tried on some 36mm watches that just look too small for me. But the President bracelet up on the sides near the lugs in all gold pulls it all in. So you pull it off well.

I’m about to trade a Rolex DJ41 for this watch and a speedy sapphire sandwich both unworn for a straight up trade at my dealer. I think it’s a crazy good deal. I like the DJ41 but for these two watches? I think it’s a no brainer! I have a Rolex SD43 as well and I love it. But I wear only on weekends typically as you mentioned you can to be careful with it walking around it can be dinged easily if you aren’t always aware of it!

Beautiful watch!. I also think the white text on the dial is a lot nicer. It brightens the dial and makes it fresh!. Best 2 tone Rolex makes and that blue dial is glorious!. I also like the thick clasp and wider bracelet: it centers the watch and balances it perfectly. Wear it in good health!!!

I purchased this exact same watch 2022 model simply because I wanted a Submariner. However everyone and his brother has a Submariner and I wanted to be a little bit different! I don’t like gold colouring on a sport model watch. My previous watch is a Rolex date 1999 model that I wore for over 15 years. The thing to note with these watches is that you should have them serviced approx every 5 years whether you wear them or not because the lubricants within the watch will dry out causing the movement to run slower. Another $500 dollar cost so now I am shelling out $1000 bucks every 5 years as long as I keep them both. I have a couple of Seiko divers and a bunch of other dress watches in my collection but I only wear the Sea Dweller every day going forward until my body no longer powers it to run. I don’t believe in purchasing things like this to sit in a drawer and only be used for weddings, funerals and church on Sundays. That is a waste in my opinion. This is a sports watch that you must wear every day regardless!! My older Rolex is covered in scratches and each one tells a story of my life!! Having owned it for over 15 years it still is worth about $1500 more than what I paid for it used! Pretty good investment considering that I wore it every single day!!! One thing I never hear reviewers talking about is how well it actually keeps time!! How many seconds per day it loses or gains!! I think that’s because most of them are afraid to wear them because they will scratch them up!! They buy them to not wear them!! Waste of money! Invest in mutual funds if you want to make money! Not watches!!

Spot-on review, and I couldn't agree more. The 126600 is the perfect modern sports watch in my opinion. Although I have and appreciate the 116600 that many people claim to prefer, I like every single thing about the new version just a bit more. The subtle splash of red on the dial is lovely, the fit is spot-on - at least on my large, flat, lean wrist - and the cyclops simply completes the watch by giving it that bit of asymmetry and visual appeal that keeps things from looking too sterile. The unmagnified date on the previous versions has never looked right to me and compromises function; this model fixes that design flaw while upgrading the rest of the package. Its absence was my #1 gripe about the earlier SDs. The sub-43-mm Sea-Dwellers and Submariners will certainly fit more people, but I can't recommend the SD43 highly enough for those who have the wrist for it.

I’m getting mine tomorrow! I have a 7.5-7.6” wrist as well. I own a Tudor BB 41 Burgandy (same size as sub) which I love but it does feel a tad smallish sometimes. I cannot wait to get this one in my wrist. I’ve been on a list for almost a year, got sick of waiting and I’m getting an unworn from a well known grey dealer. I tried to wait and play the AD game. I really did. I even made purchases at two different ADs but no dice on one of these. So grey it is for literally less than what I’d pay new in my home state with taxes. The state I’m buying it in does t have sales tax!

I got my beautiful and enjoyable Bluesy 3 weeks ago, I enjoy wearing it and I think it is the most beautiful Rolex watch that I have ever seen. My buckle is now getting a little scratched and not looking new. What is the proper and recommended ways to keep the buckle nice looking and close to looking new as much as possible? Thanks.

The previous 40mm Bluesy had yellow/gold lettering on its dial face. The new 41mm Bluesy has all white lettering on its dial face. Also the new Bluesy has the Rolex Crown just below the 6 o'clock bar located right between the words SWISS MADE. The older model does not.

I love the watch. But not sure I should get it as my first Rolex. Maybe second. I need something more low key like a black sub or explorer 2.

I have this as my everyday watch and a gold rolesor Skydweller as my occasion wear. I don't have the need for a third Rolex, at all...

I think the reason no one is too interested in these is no one needs them. The Sub has much more water resistance than anyone would ever need (most people dive 10-40 meters with the world record being 320 meters). So the only reason I could see anyone buying this over a Sub is if they have a big wrist like you.

I have the white dial, and I love the tall hour markers. They are so cool!
