😃 Thanks, hehe. I do these mostly for fun, so I'm glad to hear I'm not just talking to an empty Internet :)

What I would love to see is the old custom game mode again and add more to the customization settings Ie ice yes/no coal yes/no atmo gasses/temp mix as well as what crates/tanks are on the lander(s) ppl can make it more easy (for beginners) or supper hard. Let the players choose

Will probably come [back], but that would be shortly before the V1.0 in a few years, when things have settled so the effort isn't wasted on an ever changing project.

more than anything I'm concerned about the framerate, I thought I remembered you saying in some other video that you have a stupidly good PC... that the lights are killing the FPS that much for you scares me

It's a pretty good machine, but it's not today's gaming edge. - I've never had this many lights, and I suspect that these *projection* lights are particularly expensive, because you'd only have *few* normally - held by people. Would look pretty cool in multiplayer, all these fingers stabbing the darkness. Multiplayer lighting looks awesome anyway, when someone comes along with their flashlight on while you're standing in the workshop. - I guess normal lights are not that demanding.

why are they turning vulcan into easy mode? that's a strange choice considering how ore rich vulcan is... I feel like starting with this much stuff makes it easier than current mars (if you know what you're doing)

They simultaneously reduced the amount of coal. But yes, it feels a bit rich. I mean, Vulcan is still the most engineering-rich planet (making water, cooling it down, ...), so having more toys to play with like a tank of super cold nitrogen inspires, good to have that right from the start. Well, it's "pass 1", so they'll probably tweak this. Maybe it's like a thought process: First you explore your potential directions, then you pick one. Pass 1 would be the "all options on the table" of this. I guess.

it wont be that easy you still have a lot to plan and engineer in a sort time.

@@jojoskunk True, someone who doesn't have much experience will struggle even with all this stuff, but only on Stationeer mode, so they can play Normal/Easy instead. OP's comment (and my somewhat-agreement) is probably coming from a place where Vulcan on Hard was manageable even on Stationeer difficulty.

@@OwnerOfTheCosmos exactly how I meant it... I don't feel like starting with this absurd amount of stuff even really helps a newbie survive the first couple of days - if anything it might be more overwhelming. but it still removes a lot of the (to me at least) fun panic of having to rush in the first couple of days until you manage to stabilize... also you no longer even can feel like you're being big brain and bending the game's mechanics to make the ghetto broken pipe vents before having a pipe bender... a free pipe bender is so much luxury so yeah, in the end... makes no difference if you are a beginner, but it's a lot easier if you already know the game - I'd hope for balance changes that do the opposite

@@OwnerOfTheCosmos oh I love the idea of DIFFERENT starting conds, I'd love if they made it a choice thing like you have a budget coming in and can only pick some of this extra stuff to bring with you (depending on the difficulty) - cold nitrogen vs more water vs trade... choices choices choices... Sure there's always the possibility for a self imposed challenge, but for me at least those feel not so rewarding
