Stationeers Phase change Vulcan 1 Shelter

As there have been changes to the game save file I thought it was a good time to start fresh. So I have returned to Vulcan for a toasty start. With the night being very short on Vulcan the race in on to get the shelter up and running aquick as possible.

Seen elmotrix use it on his 3x3x3 moon base series to vent out the suit storage. Didn't have the room to pipe it or put a vent down, this was pre cowl's.

Yeah I've put this in place for my vulcan save (Started a new one recently) and its a stroke of pure genius, also a 'why didn't I think of that before?' thing as well haha Love your series, Mick. Keep up the great work, and the videos once you're going with a series - my god they're quick! Your series is largely responsible for why I'm so bloody addicted to this game lol

You are a genius. Pressurising (relatively) cold pipes to burst in the heat of the sun to make passive vents to evacuate the atmosphere in your living space to stop you cooking to death. Like the love child of MacGyver and James Bond.

Might not have steel yet but you are pretty much there. Great start if you ask me. Going to steal the extra vacuum room idea as that makes things sooo much easier on vulcan. Best wishes for the new year.

He filled 3 pipe segments to capacity, (you can hear the them creak a bit), then he removed the first 2, in order from the vent, doing so pushes the gas into the last segment, thus it is now at 3x over pressure. At this point it takes very little change in pressure for it to burst. releasing all the gas in it. The heat from the daytime atmosphere is enough to do so. Once burst, it will release whatever gas is pumped into the pipe into the atmosphere. just like a passive vent would do. So he reattaches it to the active vent, and presto. Airlock with passive vent for saving on the gases.

Just add something for the new players, this saves an enormous amount of time, materials and power that you would have to sink into making a pipebender just to make two passive vents. I've reinstalled Stationeers and have been playing around with the Vulcan start, and boy does this trick do a lot for you. Kudos to @cowsareevil7514

This is hard for sure. Getting everything up and closed in like 10 mins is not easy. The longer you take in the heat the faster you waste and oxy goes bye bye. You must of practiced this for awhile to get it down.

I don’t think it was a season but a couple of guides to help people get started with stationeers after the phase change plus with Mars being one of the easiest maps.

Big jump in difficulty from Europa to Vulcan. Perhaps a less skilled player could do it with a smaller scale start.

i don't quite understand the logic in half-welding the frames. that wastes battery and time...?

providing you the surface to drop things at a half welding time. make sense when you're on the clock and trying to bring the stuff from the lander as fast as you can.
