So many things built in one episode. All the things I started last episode and a few new things and I got the reward that normally never happens.

@12tanuha217 ай бұрын
After rebuilding it I found out that it is the liquid pipes of the liquid pollutant that make those noises. Liquid pipes have now a max pressure of 6 MPascal and the pressure in the liquid pipes go up to 5.2 MPascal before the night end. Once it fall under 4.8 MPascal the noice stop.
@cowsareevil75147 ай бұрын
Yes it is the liquid pipes. It will be very noisy until I change it to a closed system.

So you have some healing as well as renewable power and cooling. You can also produce food and air but without water they are not renewable. So at this point is watter all you need for a renewable base? If so you just need the proper H2O combustion set up. And after that you still need ferns for medicine and flowers + soy for paint with the soy conveniently also opening the option to can food.
@cowsareevil75147 ай бұрын
You need nitrogen for soy. I currently have no source of nitrogen either.

Can you explain the two furnaces? I watched you build them, but I still don't get what the purpose is to have 2
@AlexanderChaykin5 ай бұрын
Let me try to answer this. The left one is "cold" and the right is "hot". The cold one is using outside air to smelt anything which will fit to the Vulcan max day temperature. But not everything you can smelt using Vulcan hot air, there are ingots require higher temp anyway - it would be done in the "hot" furnace which is in a closed loop, input and output are connected to the outside insulated tank. Any raw ore going through the furnace will emit some gases depending on the ore. These gases will raise a pressure in the furnace and decrease the temperature. So, if you put raw ore through the cold furnace first you will have "degased" ore which might be used in the hot furnace and never make a mess with the gas composition in the closed loop. To make hot furnace really hot - you suck some Vulcan air there and throw some silver through. Silver will emit NoS which will react with volatiles from the air and combust. Here you have a high temp in a closed loop. Keep the hot gas in the tank and put enough pressure in the hot furnace for the certain ingot, use "degased" ores and your hot surnace will stay hot for a long time without need to vent it out.

Mick, I'm having odd issues with your trader hunting script where it keeps stalling. Light green, uncontacted traders on the screen, and it just won't move. Flip a coin on whether turning it off/on or pulling and reinserting the chip fixes it. Is there a defect in the workshop version or is this PEBCAK?
@cowsareevil75147 ай бұрын
If the trader leaves orbit while it is interrogating then the script will get stuck. If the light is green but no interrogation on the screen, pop the chip to restart it.

don't turning off your suit filters on and off as needed allow you to stay outside in day time?
@alecisla7 ай бұрын
You can go outside at any time, but during the day your oxygen consumption is way higher than normal because of the heat. And oxygen on Vulcan, is gold! (if that makes sense). Now, if you're talking about the old mechanics of the game, like turning off filters and stuff just to save a bit more of oxygen, they changed it, so it's kind of irrelevant to do that now coz you have to keep turning on and off all the time and it gets in the way of what you're trying to do. Just not worth the hassle anymore...
@boggis27 ай бұрын
is it still worth it to use ic logic to turn it off and on?@@alecisla
@cowsareevil75147 ай бұрын
I only do that on Venus as the heat with the high pressure is very difficult. On vulcan you can just avoid the day until you have a way of recycling the waste tanks quickly. Then you can just tank the heat.
