Arms was so close to bursting out laughing towards the end, his facial expressions cracked me up 😂

American: If we take turns, and its a new moon, and not snowing... according to the position of the stars and your blood type... if we take no more than two bathroom breaks-- we should get to Florida from New York in 19 hours if we take the freeway

When Hog does Anne, he commits to the bit! It’s pretty amazing he stays in character even at the end when the others are messing with him.

Anne is such an amazing mother. She plans every minute detail to include her teenage son & keep the family together, but when there is another teenage boy yearning for the same good times with family, she reluctantly brings him into her fold & cares for him. Top notch sketch & acting guys!

I've become so invested in their story that for a moment I felt real concern for why it might be their last holiday as a family.

I laughed out loud when he said ‘nowhere in Ireland takes 8 hours to get to’ - as a Scottish child I was subjected to being driven home ‘the scenic route’ from Glasgow to Aberdeen! Stuck in the back seat- in between my two little brothers, so they wouldn’t beat the cr*p out of each other! A journey that should have taken 2 1/2 hours - took 8 1/2 and my Dad was boiling mad by the time we got home and my brothers had finally stopped moaning! Why on Earth my parents thought it was a good idea - is beyond me - especially as I get very car sick! Take the scenic route - they said, It’ll be fun - they said 😂. I’m a Mum myself now and I choose where we will visit based on how quickly we can get there 😂🙈

Always love it when Anne makes an appearance in the outro. I would love to hear more of her backstory and where on Earth Oisín dad has gone... maybe Portugal with Barry’s dad?

I actually forget that he isn't really a mom when I'm watching these. And Oisin's complete frustration is so believable. Love these!

A family holiday wouldn't be complete without Barry! He's basically adopted into the Flanagan family, you cant leave him behind 😂

Arms trying not to laugh at Hog got me in uncontrollable fits of laughter! I remember many a holiday to somewhere remote and boring and begging to bring a friend, and I succeeded in my plea a few times too!

Barry was struggling soooo hard not to ruin the recording by laugh 😁 Such a lovely boy 🤣

It amazes me that for such relatively young guys the content strikes a chord across the generations (being from an older one myself and having a right good chuckle at this).

I’m sure that Barry’s mum was even more excited than Oisin that Anne let Barry come.

I am 100% convinced that Anne is a spirit trapped inside Hog and she just has to get out every now and then and that's why they made these sketches. And sometimes she's having so much fun she sticks around 'til the doom da.

Bhahahaha that's so true, we went to Wales, no WiFi (spent our time walking and reading books) , we didn't know how to work the heating, when we went to the beach it chucked it down and it took us forever to get there!! I can't believe that! We even spent the whole of the last day cleaning and the 'this might be the last holiday we all have together'! 🤣 Laughed me sen silly at this one!!!

Foil really channels his inner frustrated-with-parents school lad in this one. He brings great realism to Oisín; I wonder of that’s because he most relates to this character, and I wonder how much this mirrors his own teenage behavior!

This is honestly so relatable. I was lucky enough to go abroad... but it was to this random wee town in Germany to stay with my gran. She made us water her entire garden every evening, repeatedly referred to me and my brother as "die Kinder" (we're 21 and 19) and refused to let ANY food go to waste. If we left a quarter of our massive schnitzels on the plate you could bet it would be reheated and served up for lunch the next day. We got through the entire first series of Downton Abbey that week, because it's practically all she has on DVD (and she kept pausing to ask about basic details which the characters would clarify in literally the next scene). She made us watch THREE episodes one night. I mean, it was lovely to see her again, since we hadn't since October. But... wasn't quite the summer holiday I'd imagined.

I’m on my staycation watching reruns of these sketches in my bed.

I went on a staycation to Dundalk last week and it was great fun. Dont worry about it Oisin. This was great ,guys. I can really relate to the mandarin oranges, they were only out a Christmas when my mum was little

Yeah. This was my childhood... We were doing Irish staycations long before COVID. I remember it once took us 9 hrs to get to Cork from Antrim because there was a Golf Open and a major GAA final and the roads around Dublin were gridlocked.

This was accurate enough to bring back some childhood salt.

I always thought a staycation meant you didn't leave your house or that you remained local, even if you stayed elsewhere. It's still a vacation, if you travel for more than an hour or two. In any case, lovely to see Ann and the lads!
