I'm starting to get more and more worried about Barry's home situation, poor lad

The three of you are good actors, but I don't know what it is about the Oisín and Anne Flanagan sketches that just makes me forget that you are indeed only acting. All I see are two teenagers and a middle aged mother. Perfection 👌

Accurate - Parents Make something very complicated, then force you to help, then say your doing it wrong, so you end up doing nothing but your forced to stand there for the duration of the cooking cause they want to show you how it done. Great one lads

Yay! I was getting worried we might not see Anne again this year. But I realized she'd be preparing for Christmas since October. Hog really nails this role! It's like a flashback to Christmas past. The "nobody eats it - that's not the point" exchange was my favorite. We made Christmas cookies after my late Grandmother's recipe for two decades. My dad always said "Oh, wow, my moms cookies" so we thought he liked them. Strangely there were always a ton left over. One year he saw them and said "Oh, my mom's cookies. I could never stand those. It's like eating concrete that stuff". My mom threw a tantrum over it, but at the end of the day we could laugh about it and are, to this day, relieved to be rid of the horrible things. We still threaten him with them. Telling him, if he does not behave, he might get them for Christmas. They've become like the edible piece of coal from Saint Nicholas in our home 😅

Aww, Oisin did such a great job decorating the tree last year he was allowed to be let loose on this years one too! AND he knows about the good cutlery - he’s learning!

It's official: The "parents" series is my favorite from Foil Arms and Hog. Though we all speak different languages and have different cultures, people are seriously more alike than they are different. I'm a Black American of Jamaican descent and this video is still 100% relatable to how holidays were with my mom growing up. Ugh. I wish we could all just truly get along and that all the discrimination and oppression would come to an end. Celebrate differences and similarities and just be a lover of humanity. Boom...World Peace.

“Why do you go through so much effort if you find it so stressful?” Oooooff made the mistake of asking my mom that this year and I think she must have been a co-writer on this episode because word for word Anne’s responses were hers 😂🤣 good one again boys! I quite like the idea of them leaving Barry alone in the house and he quietly gets on with preparing the starters as a surprise thank you and turns out to be an excellent cook

What I love most about these sketches is the fact that this is universal for all moms all over the world... So everybody in the comments is like: Yeah I know this feeling. And this is the reason why you three are such geniuses.

I am a French ESL teacher, and my year-10 classes are currently learning about Ireland. As today was the last class before the Christmas break, I showed them a few videos (this one, When Irish people don't speak Irish -my personal favourite-, Learning French with your parents, After the Parents-teachers meeting, ...) I think quite a few of the kids enjoyed the videos. I hope I made you some fans!

The more I watch your sketches the more I see so much in common with us, Russians. Every Russian woman every December promises to herself and all the family not to cook a lot for New Year's Eve. Heard a story once about a guy receiving the exact same fruit cake he gifted the year before. I don't know how he could tell, but legend has it that the cake is still making the rounds.

My dad once put one of the fancy knives and forks in the dishwasher - about 15 years ago - and every Christmas my mum shows it to us as a cautionary tale "Look! Can you see the fine engraving? No? Neither can I, because the darker part of the silver was destroyed by your dad using the dishwasher"😅

I love how this Christmas parody is so relatable to my African American Christmas. Just change up the food, and have the dad complain about the visitor instead of the mom and it’s years of Christmas memories.

I’m the token vegetarian in the family. Bought vegetable soup for myself a couple of years ago. Uncle thought it was “fancy” gravy and poured it over the pork. Had to have Vegemite on toast for dinner. Good times

So true! Every year but thankfully we left the hot, traditional English Christmas dinner behind a few years back and embraced salads and the meats. Much better for an Aussie summer and it only took 35 years or so to get with the program.

This was my mother - in the 70s, 80s, and 90s! Glad to know traditions live on!! Tho Christmas puddings were made October, and the "spare" ones were found in May or June, on top of a wardrobe. And eaten!
