As a 30 something woman, Bridget was so important to my romance hungry soul in my early 20s. All problematic stuff aside, the book showed that you can be incredibly socially awkward, not know what the fuck you are actually doing with your life, and still be loved and liked by so many ppl and even find the man of your dreams. To me that was always the main message. And that after you pass 30, doesn’t mean you have your shit together. I relate to all those things. I was so worried you were going to say Bridget is too problematic to like, so I’m very relieved! Lol. Great video as always.

I used to be like you, and then in the last few years I started experimenting more and I'm having A BLAST !! My current favourite thing to wear is colourful button-ups with fruit printed on them. Ngl, I sometimes get weird looks (because men aren't supposed to enjoy colour and fashion I suppose ??) but I've learned to ignore them and just have fun 😊

Here’s my tip, if you like a piece of clothing- wear it! Even if it’s a little out there, clothes usually look better on the body than on the rack anyways, and as long as you allow yourself to relax and remember that clothing is meant to be an expression of yourself, you will be able to pull it off and look amazing. I recommend going to a thrift store and trying on interesting things that catch your eye, especially patterns that you like. Good luck on your fashion journey, you’re gonna rock it! -sincerely a former thrift store worker with a very adventurous closent 🤗🤪🧑‍🎤

Bridget Jones introduced an impressionable me to both Hugh Grant and Colin Firth and for that I will be forever grateful. It's defs one of those films (alongside Dirty dancing, Legally blonde, Clueless) that I have watched a billion times and has only matured as a fine wine as I have gotten older (albeit perhaps with some occasional sour notes) 😊😍

I’ve had to go on a Bridget detox recently. After consistently watching the film 8 times a year (minimum) I started to get quite affronted by all the “you should stop idolising Bridget Jones if you want to be a feminist” rhetoric. You raised some very decent points in this video though, so I feel like I’m ready to rekindle my Bridget love (with a pinch of salt) and continue to find her relatable, as I too spend my days fannying about with the press releases ✌️

Your videos are so entertaining but also within the realm of guilt free media consumption if that makes sense...like it’s not that you’re professing to be perfect instead you’re actively being self aware while still having a memorable personality even though that can be vulnerable online. OMG!! You are Bridget Jones!! Love this video. Wish people would stop judging the 90's though. Yes things were problematic and in 20 years today will be problematic so just get over yourself. Sorry, rant over. Also, side note: I never realized Bridget Jones was supposed to be rich. I had literally no idea. I feel so dumb. Thanks for explaining my ignorance I feel like I've had a revelation!

I mean, we've definitely met "only white top Leena owns" on several other occasions, but I respect the absolute power move that "only white top" has made in asking to be formally introduced again as if she doesn't remember us at all. Edit to add: absolutely love these fun fashion videos, Leena! I've used book/movie/tv show characters as fashion inspo for as long as I can remember (was literally six years old trying to dress like Frances Hodgson Burnett characters) and it's so fun to see what inspires you and what you do with that inspiration!

I love these videos Leena! They have inspired me to enjoy dressing funky (funkier than I already did) because life is too short. Nope - I only ever saw the skiing holiday part as I was skipping through channels years ago, and I cringed so hard I vowed to never watch them. I suppose my humour can't cope with exceeding cringe. I still enjoyed the video - I would have never known that Colin Firth played Darcy so well he had to do it again.
