Stealth Camping Behind Home Depot

I found an amazing spot to do a little stealth camping for the night behind a Home Depot! I brought out the hammock of course, but there were no proper trees to hang it. I used the hammock and camped directly on the ground as a bivvy sack to keep the bugs away and it worked fairly well. The MRE didn't work out too well because of an expired ration heater, but I did find some food in the area.

Hey Steve. There was a guy who has his own utube channel and credits you for saving his life. He has stopped drinking because he saw your videos and one video you did was at Walmart. You said if it’s 8am and your drinking you need to revalue your life. So he went camping. He is now 8 months sober bro. I pray all is well for you. Again I am so sorry about your wife. Don’t give up. You have changed peoples lives. Including mine. Thank you. Steve B.

Still, I think part of the thrill of stealth camping is trying not to be seen at all. I don't think most people would be mad at him (especially if he explained what he was doing), but getting seen would defeat the purpose.

Dont know where ur from bud, lol-but as a person with common sense, some people might-not saying you or I would; but there's plenty of people out there who call the police on more trivial stuff than this, like kids skateboarding or loitering in a parking lot-also there are signs posted just about everywhere these days that inform people near that what they're doing is technically illegal. On your side here, if I saw anyone crawling under a bush and hunkering down, either a stealth camper like Steve or a homeless individual, I'd just about never call the police-also not naive enough to think people won't; hence the stealth

Paddled down the Mississippi River, MN to NOLA. Army Corps of engineers created sand islands up and down the river with all the dredging operations. Made for perfect camping. Transferred to a bicycle heading north out of Florida. I always waited until near sunset to pick a church yard campsite. Then I got back on the road at sunrise. Took creek baths along the way.

Steve is great because he's the perfect combination of law abiding citizen and rebel. Somewhere along the way he got it into his head that stealth camping is the most wholesome and decent criminal act one can do and he's fallen in love. Where-as some men might go mad with mischief and forget themselves, you can tell Steve is always very self-aware and really has no interest in getting caught or doing anything terrifically outrageous. For Steve, he's just there for a bit of adrenaline, a bit of suspense and a beer or two. Bravo, ol' chap, bravo.
@frailty7280
@frailty7280 2 жыл бұрын
to be fair, its not a criminal act at all, He's said so in other videos but basically his local laws dictate that its not trespassing unless there's a sign that specifically says no trespassing in that area or if someone tells him so. hes basically just doing a classier version of taking a nap on a park bench lol Maybe sort of frowned upon, but law abiding nonetheless.

They had unlimited clean water and could snatch up all the free beer/drinks/food from the coolers left out around the course after tournaments. It’s hard to get an idea so to how urban Steve is here. That small patch of woodland is truly nestled in amongst one huge urban sprawl with literally every popular retail chain within a few blocks and in true Steve fashion, a Canadian Tire only a block away. Honestly Steve, fair play to you man! The fact you got in there without being seen is one thing but going out for walks and food is another. Hats off to you buddy, great entertainment 👍

That was my take on this video, too. The security cameras must have caught him going into the woods with the backpack, coming out without it and heading in the direction of the pub, going back in, and coming out in the morning with the pack. Doesn't take a genius to know he's camping there overnight.
