On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

Yes that was the coolest thing I have ever seen on here! I’m an old guy. I used to play the really old game F22 Raptor. That was years before the plane went public. The Raptor in the game had 4 sidewinders and 4 Fox 3s. Now I am not a sim player but I enjoy seeing how much the thing has evolved.

They aren't really comparable in real life, though. The Raptor would see the Felon way before the Felon sees the Raptor. The more optimistic estimates predict the RCS of the Felon is twice the size of an F-35. And that's the optimistic estimates. It's probably bigger than that.

Supercruise is supersonic speeds WITHOUT afterburners. That's pretty damn amazing and it never really gets talked about. Military helicopter engine mechanic here so I might be a little bias..... LOL

Concerning the whole stealth and radars discussion: me and my friend have actually been thinking quite a lot about it, and we've come to the conclusion that stealth will likely evolve faster then radars at first, which means that dogfight is going to return being a thing, but after this stealth growth, since radar technology has much more potential for improvement, things will get back to the BVR, but in a more advanced way (for example we might see airborne radars being able to look over the horizon, since we already have that technology on some ground radars, and we will also probably get back to unfiltered-ish radars, as in without pulse doppler, because radars will get just so precise that ground clutter won't be a problem anymore, and AIs will probably be able to sort out things like countermeasures and such too)

isnt that him at 7:38? when you zoom in there is a moving black dot just above the horizon near the peak to the right of center of the view, i think you might have seen that as a missile you fired but after seeing where he actually was i think that was him. anyway seems like you are once again proving its less about the plane and more about the pilot nice video!

9:00 I think he saw the missile coming and knew he was toast, and deliberately moved into a position where he'd be able to fire off at least one missile before losing total control of the craft. "If I go down, I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME!" He just barely managed to jettison and get his chute open in time. I imagine that explosion cooked him pretty good.

The thing is, radars are going to be better and better, and at some point those radars are going to negate stealth, but stealth (or "low observability") will never truly die. In a world where lasers and decoys are getting better and better, you want those lasers to be able to dazzle the radars at least to the point that they can't see your aircraft, which will work much better with low observable aircraft, and you also want the decoys to be a larger return than your aircraft. It goes without saying that smaller decoys are generally cheaper decoys, and you can carry more of them, although they will also be more susceptible to lasers as a result. At some point you're going to fill the sky with so much clutter that radars and cameras (because why restrict your sensor platforms to just one radiation band?) won't be much good outside of knife-fighting range, and BFM becomes a thing again. Probably more often with AI drones doing BFM against other AI drones, because why put your manned aircraft in the line of fire? Anti-radiation missiles and sensor fusion will be a basic requirement in this hypothetical environment, but ARMs are traditionally large, expensive beasts, and sensor fusion is a team effort, so definitely no more knights of the sky getting into 1v1 BFM, unfortunately. In this hypothetical, it will happen on accident, though; so I think foregoing maneuverability in fighter aircraft will be a mistake.

Great testing with the Felon again GS. You made a chilling content today. Can you practice a MiG-29 against an Su-57 in a BVR/Dogfight scenario? There might be some technological outcomes between these two jets. If you won't, then play a BFM dogfight of a Gripen against it. I think testing the different capabilities between those jets in-game can be interesting. Just to know if the Felon has some of its flaws against 3rd to 4th gen fighters.
