12 жыл бұрынSteelheart released their self-titled debut album in 1990. It sold 33,000 albums on its first day in Japan alone, and quickly hit platinum status. The ballad "She's Gone" which showcased Matijevic's wide vocal range hit #1 on the International Charts, staying there for 17 weeks.The ballad maintains its popularity in East Asian region until today. It has been played by most of the cover bands those performing in the nightclubs in this region almost every night.
The second single "I'll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)" reached #14 on the billboard charts, and was MTV's 2nd most requested video.The album reached #40 on the billboard charts. "Everybody Loves Eileen" and its accompanying video also garnered much success.
The song "Can't Stop Me Lovin' You" further showcased Matijevic's vocal range, but this time, lead guitarist Risola's guitar skills were also noticed. The accompanying video was another of the band's hits.

This guy was the Whitney Houston, Maria Carey of the the guys singing back in our day! He could hit the highest notes of male singers even known. And still to today in my opinion, no one comes close to his voice. Thank you for bringing joy to my life with your amazing voice. 😊

More strictly speaking, he hits the highest notes of men in mixed voice. I think Axl Rose (in terms of vocal range) is as good as Milijenko. But no doubt, from totally skill perspective, Milijenko is absolutely extraordinary, that smooth slide to high mix is unbelievable.

@@maryshull690 He had an accident on stage while he was singing back in his day. A wall of speakers fell on him and almost killed him. His band moved on without him as he had about 3 years of hard recovery. He is still singing at his age and sounds great. We are all amazed at how talented he is.

This is the band that was the sole focus of the film "rockstar" with Mark Wahlberg. Its a shame how many people dont know this band. The talent was legendary. They must not have played well with the record tycoons trying to screw them out of all their money and own them like slaves. The most popular bands are the ones you know gave in.

@@jaygentile5202 Probably to save his voice. It's a challenge hitting those notes and when 99% of the songs you sing are in such a high register. It's tiring for anyone, but especially at his age. He's being smart about it so he can perform his best

@@TotallyNotAuroras2ndChannel Its not about sounding good singing another persons songs. It’s the fact certain singers are equipped with the ability to hit high notes in a scream but that’s it. Other singers can actually sing words. Dimash can articulate in a very high register. Miljenko can articulate in a really high register. Steve Perry is a god. David Lee Roth, at one time, could hit relatively high notes in a squawk type sound but could not actually articulate at those higher notes (I love DLR). Geoff Tate could articulate. Miljenko is amongst some elite rock vocalists.

Out of all the Rock band singers, Miljenko Matijević is thus far has the highest pitch voice I've ever heard of. His voice is actually higher than my salary 😅 as someone else also has commented that ☺️ His tone, his voice, his pitch, his looks, his talent is a top notch 👌 His song 🎵 "She's Gone" is one of my favorite song of his. His high notes on this song blew off the top of the roof! It was insanely high! 😳 But, several years into their red-hot career, which included worldwide tours and massive radio success, on Halloween Eve in 1992, lead singer Matijevic suffered a freak accident when in the midst of promoting the album on Halloween night, 1992, an improperly secured lighting truss hit frontman Miljenko Matijevic, a 1000 lb. lighting rig fell on him during a show, breaking his nose, cheekbone, jaw and twisted his spine. Matijevic was rushed to a hospital and Steelheart, for all intents and purposes, ended that night. It broke 💔 my heart when he had this accident back in 1992. I think this actually affected him. My heart goes to u Miljenko Matijević & the rest of the Steelheart band 🥰 U guys are one of the best!!! 👏 And Rest in Peace 🙏 to John Fowler, the Original Steelheart drummer who has died from a brain aneurysm. He was 42.

I've been listening to Rock and Heavy Metal for some 35 years ... it's definitely the most beautiful treble in Rock ... not the best band, but the most beautiful love song in Rock and with the most impressive Vocal of all time . Even if he doesn't reach that Tom anymore, today, it is still the most impressive song!

Não sou somente eu que acredita que a voz de Miljenko Matijevic no seu auge vocal era a mais limpa e poderosa do rock and roll entre todos os cantores. Nenhum outro vocalista conseguiu fazer uma performance ao vivo tão boa quanto a gravação de estúdio como esse cara, e ele não fez isso apenas uma vez, foram dezenas de vezes que ele realizou esse feito. Seguramente está entre os melhores da história, pena que os críticos não entendem porra nenhuma de rock e deixam essa lenda fora das listas de maiores vocalistas da história. Fodam-se os pseudos-criticos e criadores de listas idiotas, com raras excessões!!!!

His pitch is perfect. Thebamazing part of his voice is how long he can hold each pitch perfectly. So extremly rare to find singers like this. Freddy mercury is probably the only one i can think off the top my head that even is comparable.

You just cant beat the 60's 70's and early 80's ROCK N ROLL God Blessed us all back then with Music that really had Heart Poured into it !!!!!!!! Miss being a Sound Engineer from those day's it was a Memorable Experience Tour Bus Runs and Early Rise for Set-Up and Sound Checks and late to Bed with a Good Joint and the Echo of the Tour Bus Engine purring me to sleep !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can still close my Eye's and Hear It, and Feel It, I can still remember Cruisin Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Strip going up and down the Blvd. when I wasn't on Tour, I had the Top Down Jammin And Cruisin nothing else like it, The Good Ole Day's WHEN MUSIC WAS A WAY OF LIFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wild and young when this band played and they always touched my soul. The playing and singing slayed me! Still does. I would leave concerts drained but ecstatic. Unbelievably changed.
