Jeep invited me to review the new 2020 Jeep Renegade 4XE Trailhawk off road and on the road. This Renegade 4XE is jeeps first step into the world of electrification. The Jeep Renegade Trailhawk runs 240 bhp from its 1.3L turbo engine and an 11.4kwh battery powering the hybrid technology in the rear. Off roading the Jeep Renegade 4XE was so much fun. I was pleasantly suprised with how capable the car was and as a whole its a good little car for the money. What do you think of the new 2020 Jeep Renegade 4XE?

"Cheap plastics" - as a 2xdog owner and planning to off-road my Trailhawk, those plastics are ideal for keeping the car clean. Anything fancier might appeal to road-only users but lack practicality with wet dogs and mud.

Enjoyed watching this. Waiting on my new 4Xe next week. Trading in my 2016 Trailhawk which I’ll miss. These are surprisingly serious off roaders 👍

I very nearly bought the 2.0 diesel (Mk1) Trailhawk a few years ago. You had my interest at 240bhp and 0-60 in 7.1...... but then quickly lost it at £38k!?!!

Haha having so much fun you went past the presentation point lol , thats the jeep thing ,being hooked , on the car . I love my Trailhawk .

There's definitely something about a Jeep, they're just so cool. Great colour coordination with with coat toggles matching the stitching on the seats!! Nice one Stef 👌

Good to watch - well put together video. Had a 1.4 MultiAir auto Renegade when they were first launched. Went like stink. However 29 mpg. Amazing car for the money.

Nice comprehensive video Stef, like Joe Achilles does, so any one thinking of getting one of these Jeeps can make an informed decision yay or nay, this has to help and you had fun too!!!

We have a 170BHP 5ooX 4x4 in the family that I very occasionally drive...surprisingly nice to punt around however its still a SUV Many, many years ago I worked at a mine (not down pit, thou) for a little while and had to drive off road everyday ....... fun is not a word I would use to describe the experience ......could not wait to get back home to take my Fiat 850 Sport for a proper drive

How long can you drive on the road in hybrid mode before the battery is exhausted and you are just down to running on the petrol engine I wonder. I also saw another video where using a public charger, the car took 1 hour and 40 minutes to recharge the battery....Really? If you haven't got an over night charging system at home, can you imagine waiting that long every time the battery runs down when you can fill up a normal car with fuel at a petrol station in a few minutes. I think you are paying a massive premium to go hybrid, there are a lot of very good petrol and diesel cars available for that kind of money. The renegade hasn't got the best reliability record either from what I have read. Apologies for being negative, but when a company like Jeep, provides a free test drive day to car reviewers, are you really going to get a honest unbiased warts and all review?

I think most EV owners will tell you that "everyone charges at home anyway" to cope with the massive inconvenience of public chargers. Ive seen a lot of EV vids and their main complaint is always the charging stations(being crap or occupied) and the infrastructure. So yeah you are right, you need a charger at home to get full benefit from these cars, you almost have no other option.

For being an 2020 car, the interior looks like the interior of a car from 2010. IT doesnt have that simplicistc "less is more" panel. There is still to many buttons here and there and not the futuristic design of things. I think Land rover and Kia Sorento as well as the upcomming Rivian will lead that way.
