Somewhere in a far away world, Stefan and Lily didn't die. Instead all of them turned human and lived in the Salvatore Boarding House. Stefan and Caroline had kids, Damon and Elena had kids. And lily got to play with her grandchildren. Just like she deserved.

Yeah, she’s a horrible mother. Even if you forgive her for abandoning her children to their abusive father, she literally took her sons love from him as punishment. That’s not something that can be forgiven, she literally took the only person that made Damon feel happy and complete away from him, and a friend away from Stefan. I don’t blame Damon for wanting her dead, that’s such a messed up thing to do

This is why Stefan is the foolish, naive, and weak man. Just forgets/forgives all the terrible things she did/caused from season 6-7 and how she abandoned her two sons to a monster father, even had chance to go back for them when they were vampires and never did. Its pathetic, he should grow a backbone

@@joshthaller4754 he is not pathetic nor weak. He is more idealistic and sees the good in everyone. Damon is more dark because he is the older brother and remembered it way better than Stefan. Also, Stefan was Giuseppe's favourite son so he did not abuse him like he did Damon. Of course Damon would have a much more darker view on the world because he suffered more than Stefan when they were still human. Damon is more real because he is shaped by his experiences as well as the people around him. Damon was always sidelined by everyone - his father, his mother, Katherine, Elena (until season 4), etc. Stefan was more of a golden boy to everyone. He was liked by his father, Katherine, Elena, Caroline, Quetsiah, Lexi, etc. He had people around him who made him a better person and never abandoned him. That is why Stefan has more optimistic view on everything. It is not about Stefan being weak or naive. Try to watch the show more carefully. You will notice these important details.

@@samuelkohi2534 I have watched every episode of the show at least three times. I found him far too forgiving to people that do not deserve any form of forgiveness or compassion. Example he shows forgiveness/compassion to Katherine and the result in her stealing Elena's body to cause more pain for everyone. In season 7 his stupid revenge idea on Julian got Damon put into the phoenix stone. Their father did murder both of them and thus Stefan was never loved by him either just as Damon was not. Stefan never saved Damon from 1950's torture or even bothered to find out the reason for turning off his humanity, gave up on Damon after only 4 months of searching following the end of season 5 when Damon died for him. Stefan looks good and decent on outside, inside he is far from being the better man.

@@rickyyy6632 giuseppe always preferred Stefan over Damon. You should watch Season 1 flashbacks. It is obvious that Giuseppe hates Damon for leaving the army and trusts Stefan more with the duties.

@Mercy by that logic even Stefan is a bad guy because he killed 1000s of people including his father. Lily is far worse than Stefan as a ripper and she is mad at her sons for not keeping her promise to release her "so called" family. Did you forget how hospitable she was when Damon and Elena met her in that prison world? True that the actress looks innocent and sweet, but I think lily is also the same. She is just ignorant and weak as a human (she couldn't stand up to her husband) that's why she became a ripper, she couldn't control herself.

I know she failed them.. she did unforgivable things but so have they. She was a ripper and didn’t have what Stefan and Damon did, she had people who wanted to be evil so that’s what she did.. she was a broken women scared of everything and when she got this new life, she just went with it. But she did love those boys.. she just didn’t show it the right way.

Because this was something different..so different..and the situations r so different, u can't expect him to act the same ...Elena was not pregnant with twins ,she was not his best friend, its different , just cause he asked his mum for advice doesn't mean he wasn't sure about his feelings, he was in a new situation and confused and he wants the very best for Caroline so he just asked his mum for advice,how in the world does that mean that he loves her less...because he even said himself that he thinks that what he and caroline have can turn into something even better than his previous loves
