Brilliant. Thanks for that. I tried making a hazel bow but there was a weak spot and it snapped when I strung it. Trial and error....

What tool were you using for doing the majority of tillering?

I started with a rasp and for final tillering I used a scraper.

The diameter was a little over 1 1/4 inches.

This one is 182cm (72") long and 3cm (1 1/4")wide in the handle. The tips have a width of 12mm (1/2")

Did you wait for the wood to dry? Our did you make the bow right away?

The stave was dry. It usually takes only 3 weeks to dry a sapling.

My experience is crooked bows shoot just as good as straight ones, don't sell as good though, lol

I made one, but decrowned it. Followed the Bowers Bible instructions for decrowning.
