The 39 to 41 mm sizes are starting to feel finer. I have grown tired of the big suckers. I never thought I would say that!

I’ve cut my collection to an SKX, this watch and a 5610.

I own this watch and it’s amazing, the size is perfect and the bracelet is surprisingly great. It’s also a strap monster. I have worn it with a fluco tan leather, a vintage tropic rubber and a navy NATO and it looks amazing. I’m so happy with this watch, it’s robust, highly quality with a vintage look that doesn’t look like a Rolex copy.

Been wearing No.518 (ETA movement) for almost 2 years now & absolutely love it. Never worn the bracelet, it still has the wrapping on it, but on a genuine UK military G10 NATO strap in either Admiralty Grey or black & it looks amazing even with the faux patina.

I’ve still got my mk1 42mm OVM that I purchased in 2015, comes back into rotation every now and then. Keeps accurate time, looks great on wrist.

As a Seiko fan, i have one of these and love it. Good size. Simple. Looks good. Reliable. But the lume is nothing like Seiko lume. Fades quickly

I really like this size and look. Try to get 1 in the 2nd hand market.

I have the 42mm Mk3 works fine on my 7.5 inch wrist. I have contemplated flipping it, mainly because I've just realised I prefer watches with a Date function. But tbh, every time I take it out of the box, I think nah I can't sell this; not considering what I paid for it at EUR325 new. Sapphire, ETA2824 regulated, its easily my most accurate watch in my collection around 0 to +2secs per day after wearing it both consistently and sporadically. Can only see the Used price rise on them eventually, as ETAs become limited outside the Swatch Group.

I have the 39mm Gnomon Vintage Explorer with drilled lugs. Fantastic watch.

I hope some day they do this watch again, is the best Steinhart in 39 mm. I’ll definitely buy it

Wearing No. 1685 on my wrist as I'm typing this. I still own and love my 42mm OVM, but, man... those Gnomon-exclusive 39mm vintage models work *so* well in the smaller case-size. I had the chance to see and handle all four of them when I bought the 39mm OVM and I would've picked up each and every one of them if money were no object.

I have the 39 GMT Pepsi and I love it. It's a great size. I'm thinking about this MilSub 39 - I like the hands and the minutes all around, as I use my bezels for timing frequently.

I love my 42 OVM it fits my 8” wrist, runs around 20 seconds fast, may have it regulated.

Definitely like the looks, even the faux patina.

I've been taking a hard look at these. The sword hands on a Sub are amazing. I wish they had done them in the original 40mm, but 39mm will have to do.

This 39 was bodged together hurriedly, some of the proportions are off. For example they used the same handset as the 42 so they look too big, they reach right to the edge of the dial, on the 42 they just skim the minute markers.

This watch needs a comparison to the Ginault Ocean Rover. They appear to be very similar. Primary differences seem to be raised vs flat indices and Rolex vs conventional clasp.

Did they make a few minor changes? The hour hand looks more proportionate.

That’s a great size, only wish it didn’t have that aggressively of an application of faux-aged lume.

I looked at Steinhart's portfolio, not so much interested in their diver homages but they do make some nice other styles which almost nobody talks about or reviews. If I was to buy into the brand, I would buy one of those.

Faux patina kills it for me. But I still have all my 39’s Steinys. Probably will ship at least two to you to sell. Great watches though
