@OriginalTharios wish I didn't have an attention span of a goldfish and could play this way too while having fun. So far, I was a massive fan of the game from its release, but I haven't finished even a single of my own campaigns. I like to watch someone play it more then to suffer my own feeble attempts:(

@@emylily8266 Just a house rule of mine. A human player can take advantage of Habitats much more efficiently than the AI can. Besides by the time they can build them on mass I usually outclass them in other ways.

war in general is terrifying. Not at all how it looks like in our fictional worlds.

You would think they'd go first with same thrower tech than corvettes plus XIX speed upgrades but he, what can you do. Anyway @moes247 you got the best definition of missiles "speed" in Stellaris I've seen so far.

Yeah, I needed to watch the 2-hour videos in multiple sittings - totally worth it though! Maybe an hour max for each video. Then they could be more frequent and folks would be more likely to watch the whole video in one sitting with less pausing or whatever factors are negatively affecting the algorithm.

Although the actual model of the shot does not line up 1 for 1 the damage does not instantly apply once the weapon Is fired in the case of missiles, otherwise retargeting with missiles would literally do nothing (I have seen and documented the missiles changing target multiple times then applying damage to a new target after being fired at one target which had been destroyed) and the speed stat of the missile weapons would not apply any change. In the battles even recorded in this 3 part series you can see the enemy only take damage once the missiles reach the target whilst other weapons are still out of range (Most notably with the cruisers). On top of this with the corvette battles observed the missiles are fired quite a distance away but only finally apply the damage once the corvettes have pretty much reached the target, so definitely not instant. With weapons other than missiles I have actually noted what you have said in videos before haha! Suddenly damage Is taken and then moments later something like the kinetic shells or the plasma weapons finally reach the target visually, so It seems at very least the timing Is very desynced with them, but I can only 100% confirm the instant damage from weapons such as the tachyon X size weapon and such. Sorry for the long winded comment, I apparently can't explain things well..

@@Lathland Fair point, it would make sense for missiles to deviate. And no worries, I can be very very elaborate myself when I get fired up on something. To the point where I had dev diary length posts on reddit on issues I saw in game and changes I would suggest with all possible advantages and pitfalls for each option. And then comb through several times to improve clarity, rephrase and restructure all sections. I could go on and on and on.. :P

If they want to do that, it would be better to include it as a part of another update or dlc, if its a dlc i look forward to a multiverse dlc where they add a new gateway thing called a reality rift which is reasearched the same way the L-gate is reasearched or maybe something else that requires a black hole this would add new reasearch and a material. For the new end game crisis it would be an extra dimensional interloper which only spawns if you reasearch something specific. Idk its their choice to add this, i'm just passing ideas.

I think that one was about containing the scourge with bastions, not trapping them on their worlds with the Colossus.

Try skydiving, nobody's ever had a problem with gravity when doing that.

I also like mixing the fleets. Since I also play HoI4, I like to think the fleets as similar to naval fleets from hoi and thus give the larger ships some escorts/screens. More of a rp thing than min-maxing.

Scourge Colossus yess. Imagine a scourge colossus eating a planet?

It's kinda borning in my opinion that the scourge and the unbidden are devouring the Galaxy for the same reason.

If you ignore the Scourge for long enough, the Hunters will appear. I'm gonna spoil it so... . . . . . . The Hunters are an extremely weak single system faction that appears sometime after the Scourge appear. For me, it was about 30 years after the Scourge appeared and I hadn't yet attacked any Scourge. The Hunters have limited diplomatic options but they were friendly to me. The story they had directly contradicted what the Scourge said when the Scourge arrived. Apparently the Scourge had no trouble at all devouring the Hunter's galaxy. The Hunters are remnant survivors from that galaxy and followed the Scourge to continue the fight against them and to help the Scourge's next victims. They gifted me fleets on par with a fallen empire fleet of around 6k... it was not setup to counter the Scourge like they claimed it would be (I deleted them for the supply). The hunters claim to have won some battles against the Scourge but I find that hard to believe. The Hunters do nothing to help you. And with any kind of increased crisis strength the Hunters do not also increase! They were utterly pathetic compared to the 25x Scourge. I believe the Scourge outright lied to us when we asked them their motives for attacking. The Scourge are in fact hunting prey. This makes sense because the Crisis factions all lie to the player about something.
