2nd Gen 4Runner refurbishment project! This might be good to watch for all of you considering buying an old Toyota 4X4 also. Let's see what we discover in here during this process. But these are all things you'll have to inspect, look at, repair, freshen up, or replace. The reality is these things are 30 years old!

Just did the timing belt on my 1992 Toyota SR5 / 4 WD TRUCK…Good Luck Watch “ Girlie Girl” on KZfaq how she does the Riming Belt Replacement I just got lips for the Front Grill too!!

Man you definitely spent some cash on those parts but very wise choice should be good to go for another 30 years. Good luck with gettin her put together. I've honed all my cylinders a little just see if I could get by without havin it punched out hopefully. Done figured out there no 3.0 engines around. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy

Thanks man, yeah not cheap! But I plan on keeping this one, even when a new motor or trans, etc. needs to go in. I'm not letting her go. Good luck with your project! Man my junk yard has a few 3.0's and a few 3.4's. There are guys out there rebuilding em too. Reach out if you need anything.

@@AgileWoodsman thanks for sure. Ya that's way I am with mine plannin to be last truck I have been wantin one so long but I'm 68 years old just gettin hard to do this stuff anymore but gonna do My best to rebuild her. Thanks again n good luck with your project.

@@mikerequa820 I hear ya! I'm 52 and it's getting harder! Hopefully you're not in a hurry and can just take it slow and enjoy the process.

@@AgileWoodsman of course I'd love to be drivin it tomorrow and 20 years ago I would be but I've come to realize I just can't do the things I use to do. So I'm gonna go at my pace n do it good hopefully it'll last me till I'm gone. I'll definitely have fun when it's goin besides I'm patchin some rust spots n paintin so on.
