Perfect tutorial. Had a small issue with filezilla and Durango not connecting but it got there after a couple of tries. Spyhunter works brilliantly. Going to try Simpsons Hit and Run, then some God Of War. Even some old skool NFS. Skies the limit. Thanks again 👍🏻

I have another video where you can keep ROMs on a USB thumb drive and not have to copy them to your internal drive. So which Xbox did you do this on?

@@TeknoBlast My Xbox is the Series X. I've just dropped some games onto a USB and I've been trying those. Unfortunately, with minimal success. Although Spyhunter 1 and 2 work well, NFS Most Wanted Black Edition was slow and stuttery, and The Simpsons Hit and Run wouldn't start at all. I'm not sure if this is a Retroarch or ISO issue, but I did have the same issue when trying to play these games via Retroarch on my PC.

To anyone having a issue finding the retro arch folder a good tip is to find the folder that was last modified and click the folder and look through the folders and you should see config cheats and more that's how i found it

Seems to have worked well, I can load up the core and get to the start menu of 2 different games. Both of which freeze or crash at that time. Maybe just need to try other games but if anyone has a fix let me know. For reference the games are the Simpson’s game and spiderman 2.

if you can’t find the retro arch folder go to ur xbox game data for retro arch and click X for the file info and the full name will be the actual file name for urs found this out finally

I've been trying to get ps2 working on ps4, even though retroarch says it's installed... I can't get it to show up. I've noticed that the installer installs cores as a .self file while installing from within retroarch (regardless of core) installs a .dll core. Any solutions?

I only get Sony PlayStation 2 (LSRP2) not ocsx2 but I can select the core but when I click my game iso it makes me have to use another core and it only give the LSRP2 which doesn’t load it properly Edit: just realized that under the pscx2_SW core it’s license says N/A so I’m screwed

Is it bios for all systems? Also, is there a way to make the games fullscreen (not have black rectangles on side)? Thanks

Yeah, there is a way to make it wide screen, but it doesnt improve for a lot of the games. It's more try and if you like the way it looks, then good. I actually made another video where you can store the games on a USB drive and not have it stored on the Xbox itself. As for limit, I have no idea since I just started with this at the time of the video.

@Eduardo Lara The limit RetroArch claims for games is 30 gb. WARNING: if you delete RetroArch without properly deleting the games, you will have "ghost space" (those 30 gbs will be unusable). Best way to do it is to use a USB pen drive, in my view. A 64 gb pen drive or better can host the PS2 BIOS and plenty of games. Some BIOS also don't need to be transferred. RetroArch can automatically update PSP BIOS, for example.

Im just guessing here because I cant actually see whats going on with your system, but if you open up the FTP client on the Xbox, there's a checkbox that says allow anonymous. That box should have a check in it. Hopefully that helps.

I have not used this emulator but it most likely has a thing called frame skipping it skips a few frames so it is less load to the console

For those that don't have retroarch in the file name just look at the last modified date and go based off that. I used winscp since i use ssh for work but for those unfamiliar follow the guide

It's not specific to Xbox platform. I did it on my Xbox One X because in case I screwed up, I wouldnt care of the One X was bricked, but would care if my Series console did get bricked. It's more of a comfort thing for me, but this can be performed on both the One X and Series consoles.

@@shawndupreez8251 I wanted to get this done for you before I leave for my trip. I wasnt able to find a copy of the Rugby 08 ISO file. I did find a Rugby 05 but turned out to be some executable file, which I was not going to try out. Dont know what would be extracted. A place I did find Rugby 08 required a premium account, which comes with a fee. Sorry man, I tried.

Great video I just got the series X, but everywhere it says you need developer mode, but I don't see that listed? I don't mind paying the 20 bucks to get developer mode but the video is pretty easy to follow, especially since I'm good with FTP and everything else. Just saw you posted a link to shaders! Maybe you can do one on how much you can upscale I know you're on the Xbox One X not sure if the series X an upscale much higher. Thanks again great video and I just subscribed!

The title says no dev mode needed, so you do need it then? I tried to use that link in the discription and you can't get to the app store to get what you need.
