Completely agree on putting football first in preseason. Maybe give the lads a change of scenery though just pick one country with the best training camp facilities and just do media videos about how training is going once a week. Would be nice for once for United to start the new season well.

Watched him during his Blackburn playing career in the early 90s. Not such a gifted player but he definitely giving his all when he played.. Kudos to him for being success after his playing career that seems to be far greater when he was a player.

I agree with the idea of a much more focused preseason but no chance should it be at Carrington. It should be in a proper climate.

Any concern that we only seem to be looking at back room staff from within England? Even Mitchell who is one who had experience with working in Europe doesn’t seem to be coming. Feel like we could be missing some out of the box innovations…

Perhaps they are deliberately going towards that given united are not 11-city wide netowrked group, but rather very much one entity which can grow even if they go england heavy.

We all want united to win we all love the the club but I don't think we should stop pre season tour for some of us that's the only opportunity we get to see these players play live. Yes we are not going to matches like uk fans but we do wake up till 4-5 am to watch the game and go to work without proper sleep. Travelling like we did in this tour is crazy but there should be a preseason tour

It was making sense until you went off on the rant about international tours. That’s where the $ come from to eventuality buy big players and every bit counts under FFP/ PSR. Key players are anyways missing from pre season tours so none of it is a big strain on the real first 11. I think locations will be much better planned in this non-Woodward era. Not the kind of thing glazers were bothered with, imho.

im sorry but i do not agree with not playing internationally during pre season keeping the fan base abroad is massive to united's commercial power and if they start not going - other teams will pick up the support united are one of the few teams in the world that can fill a stadium no matter what country they play in - they need to keep that

Let's find the balance. Choose one country each year, get a great facility we can use and focus on the football. Stop doing 2-3 countries/continents each pre season.

@@matthewbaker2573 I was at Murrayfield to watch united last summer and the lack of real first team players was palpable. If you're suggesting we hit our main squad a location A and then our B team at location B is a good thing, you are wrong. Rotate our pre seasons but keep it consistent.

probably not no i don't think they are going for just one dof they will probably will get a few in but give them different job roles with ashworth being at the top of the tree as ashworth doesn't do everything anymore

I think it would be good to find the middle ground with preseason. It’s not worth the epic journey to another continent to appease global fans and fleece them with ticket prices. But a selection of friendlies at Old Trafford and away in Europe would be good.

Rubbish. Sounds racists. Blaming travelling to the Far East on the failures of the club. MU travelled to the far east with SAF when they were successful too! We pay a pretty penny to watch MU play live at OT at 3am, Far East time! Rubbish analysis.
