Its very sad and astonishing how some people would think he's acting or question why the cries alot but do you know his story?This man know what the odds were against him,that he had to go through,he left college,left this first job to purse a career that doesnt guarantee nothing-comedy.Two failed marriages that would have wiped him out but here he is still standing.People might not like him or call him a names but in America,this black man just dodged all them bullets and when he cries,that's a way of giving God praise.There is nothing more humbling than that.

Well I was going through a rough break up....I mean it was crazy but his jokes and his advice about relationships were the only thing that kept me going...he made me realize alot about men I didn't really know or think about before. I didn't read all the comments, but I agree with those who say Steve Harvey is NOT phony. He is crying because he is thankful for all the blessings he has received from the Lord. This is straight what a man feels. You work and fight everyday. You're not allowed to feel. Breaking down is not an option. Then one day, you get hit with a reminder of where you been and what you went through. That is what overwhelmed Steve. Yes I'm sure he's happy and greatful to that couple but, I think every memory of his early struggle came along with that. I reluctantly had my cards read recently (not really a believer in such things) When that person started telling about being a hard working man and being an authority figure and for me know that my efforts are appreciated, I started bawling.
