Steve Wright's brother breaks silence on late star's cause of death

Steve Wright's brother has claimed the late broadcaster died due to lifestyle choices and a poor diet.
Laurence Wright, 65, has broken his silence following the death of Steve earlier this week, dismissing claims his late sibling died "due to a broken heart" following his BBC Radio 2 afternoon slot being axed in 2022.

Steve was a unique voice on the airwaves. He worked so hard on his shows, but I suspect he sadly neglected his health. It's a very sad. but simple truth. Thank you Steve for all you did. Just wish you were still here...😢

Don’t often leave comments but this is a time to do so…… Steve was the voice of my teens radio one making me laugh with his way of presenting a radio show . Good music , and something to look forward to so R.I.P Steve thanks for the memories thanks for it all..

Younger ideas. Wrighty was past his sell by date. Very good in his prime. Although somewhat conceited. He wouldn't play anything he didn't like. Impartiality didn't exist. He also ended recordings before they finished. Liked to hear his own voice. Nevertheless knowledgeable.

over rated just cos of his voice,over paid and can anyone say how many minutes he was on air during his shows?? I say approx 10 minutes per hour?well loved but well over paid
