John Watters Actually Steve is a punctual first. I can’t think of anyone who’s been able to blend heavy metal with comedy in such a way that he has, while at the same time sprinkling in truths about the world. And he’s a badass drummer.

Whilst I'm perfectly aware that Steve isn't anti-semitic, it's a terrible rebuttal. Or do you think Hitler and his merry gang of murderers met them all before he went on his little campaign? You don't need to meet each of a subset of people in order to hate said subset. In fact I'd argue that the less you know about someone, the easier it is to hate them.

Steve Hughes is the kind of comedian that can change your mind...or at least expand upon its perspective. Much in the same way that George Carlin first enlightened me to the fact that "The planet will be just fine, it's the people that are fucked", Steve Hughes has a poignant way of subverting conventional ideas and creating extremely intelligent comedy. Book called Jedi In The Lotus compares the Vedic mythology and work of `Joseph Campbell being a major influence, could be why many resonated with Star Wars - in which case not absurd to consider it has more to do with archetypes and the eternal dualistic nature of life in which case always going to be evil empires, bankers, saints, good samaritans, golden ages, dark ages, etc. eternally, forever (human history and mythology seems to verify this not to mention the dualistic appearance of all phenomena) Non duality would be an escape hatch to this dilemma which Steve has actually considered incorporating into his comedy from his influence from Tony Parsons...anyhow

That was truly one of the funniest, most 'on-the-button' routines I've ever seen. ...I could hardly breath when that got going. ...A comment below relates Steve to George Carlin but... No, that was something I've not seen anyone else do. ...I love George Carlin but, he is a bit of a one trick pony as regards his... angle, he does outrage... whereas, to my eye Steve manages to go all those same places... and others... while keeping it from becoming an angry monologue... , which Carlin could end up coming across like, sometimes... whatever, magic writing that, aye, real magic.

Unreal to see how you're seen to be ahead of your time whilst laughing for the last couple of decades about the same things so many of us related to, agreed with or understood all along but never verbalised and publicised, just privately sat with.
