Sensei Seagal is not only a master blues guitarist, but a skillfull lyricist who can improvise lyrics from the top of his head like no other. Demonstrated at 2:57, the original lyrics being "Man, she's a no good doney - They shouldn't allow her on the street, yeah", Seagal characteristically improves upon the lyrics with angelic phrases, seemingly drawing inspirations from long dead poets. "Well that's a no good darling, would that me ain't go, ain't no feet".

Ok...memes aside...this ain't half bad. It's a pretty basic blues rock performance, but it is competent. Steven's guitar playing is also not bad either. He uses his thumb to pick the notes, and that's something that a lot of old blues guys did to get that very thick tone. His fretting hand stays busy with some basic to even advanced pentatonic scale runs. I mean, this is definitely a solid blues rock performance. It suggests that he has a real genuine love for the music. It is a soulful performance. I dig it Seagal. I really do.

There are two guitars. During the verses he's playing along with the bass. You can tell he's actually playing because at one point his guitar has feedback and he turns the volume knob down, and then seconds later he _forgets_ he turned it down and in a panic grabs his guitar's cord, thinking it got unplugged. EDIT-which, by the way, in and of itself is hysterical. Must be all those asses he kicked, causing him to be forgetful as he wistfully remembers the days of being an unassailable badass. He's still a badass now, of course, but back then he was an unassailable badass.

Yup! Unfortunately I tried to defend him in another utube comments where he's showing off a dozen or so of his Vintage guitars on the lawn (he has over 300). Well, he played just one 4 second lick, and it gave me the impression that he had game. But the opening "shuffle" in this video showed me this guy's got zero groove! Like a white guy trying to dance at a hip-hop concert - no rhythm, no groove! And then the thumb picking and the same pentatonic run he stumbled through on repeat. Oh, and the one double stop, slide lick...also on repeat. He might be able to fool those who don't play an instrument or listen to guitar driven music...but he ain't fooling guitar players!
