I get asked about the tuning for this song pretty frequently, so thought I'd make this video explaining the tuning and showing you how to play it! #SteveWariner #IShouldBeWithYou #GuitarPlaythrough

So effortless. Such an underrated talent. One of the best guitarist country music has ever had. Right there with Glenn Campbell and Vince Gill.

I went to a Reba concert many years ago and you opened for her. I had never even heard of you. This was the first song you played, and I quickly became a lifelong fan. You definitely stole the evening.

I was 12, went to Grandma’s house on the Gulf coast for the summer. I remember this coming on the radio and being enchanted with the guitar... first I heard the name Steve Wariner. Never even knew he was a guitar player til I saw him at the Winnie Rice festival in 95. He busted out a SRV song and my jaw dropped. I stayed and listened while the girl I was with wanted to leave... shoulda been the first sign we weren’t compatible! Lol God gave me who I needed in the end!

I remember meeting your mother-in-law, Ms. Kitty, telling the story behind the song. Since then, that has become one of my most favorite Steve Wariner songs. I've been a fan since the exact minute I was born, and my mom was a fan of yours since your Dottie West days, and continued to be a fan til the day she died.

I'm not sure if you read the comments or not? I've been a fan of yours since you started.I got the pleasure of seeing you in concert in the early 80's in Gainesville Fla. You opened for Lee Greenwood and Barbara Mandrel. You were the only one that took the time to say hello and sign an autograph that says alot about. Btw I still have that . Love your music!!

Thinking of great songs, Great Artist, and Great times brought me here. I met you several times in DFW area. Doc Horn's Crystal Chandelier holds a lot of good memories and even a few basketball games before the NYE show many moons ago. lol Take care man, God Bless you and your family.
Still sound amazing. A big thanks for all your time spent bringing music and guidance to so many, during this unprecedented time. My father was a very talented singer and musician, who adored tips of my fingers, so it holds a treasured spot in my heart! But I couldn’t begin to pick a favorite. Just like tour signature Gretsch; you will always be a country gentleman!

I figured it out Steve though It took me a minute. When I was at your house 20 Years ago I asked you the tuning on that song, you said it was just a drop D. You did not go into the complete gist of it. Thanks a lot pal! I got anyway. Lee Simons
