You asked..You got it! You can make this saddlebag storage rack that hangs on your wall vs. the floor for under 20 bucks. I'll give you the exact measurements and the parts you will need in the video. Save a ton of money and keep your saddlebags off the floor.
Parts I used are 2 x 3/4"x10' pvc pipe
12 x 3/4" 90 degree pvc elbow
6 x 3/4" pvc Tee
2 x 3/4 pvc end cap
3/4" pipe insulation

2" lag bolts
pvc Primer and Glue
Cut your pieces as follows
2 x 20"
4 x 6"
2 x 9"
2 x 3"
1 x 4"
JUST TO BE CLEAR, IF YOU BUILD THESE AND YOU DROP YOUR BAG....I AM IN NO WAY LIABLE. THIS IS FOR INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

Just a heads up. With the box of beer and 5 gallon bucket to carry the fittings to the front of the store it brings the total up to $31.69.

Great DIY vid and idea. Not sure I'd ever need to remove my bags long enough to use this product. But love the vid like all your other vids.

They come in handy when working on anything in the back of the bike. Love them and use them often..actually built 2 sets now and use them when I have multiple bikes in there. Keeps me from kicking them all day lol thanks for checking it out!

Now thats a damn good idea the best DIY ideal yet for the baggers I always had my saddlebags on a short fold-up table with the towel on it but always stressing or worried the dog or somebody would walk by and they would fall right off, laying down on the backside they're still not stable and a Weeble wobble on the back side, that idea gave me a lot more ideals like a pedestal rack with coaster Wheels applying that tubular design to be able to hold two saddlebags back to back with a board Center to be able to hold tht tubular design.

Steve, We spoke on Monday and I place my order for the 14 up saddle bags. Thank you for you help and knowledge. On another note regarding this video I have to say I hope the company that you work for appreciates what you are doing. Providing a tutorial on a saddle bag storage unit/ build is going way be on what most in your position would do. Thanks again for all of your. Respectfully, Stan

Thanks Steven I had been thinking of building something like this but not for the wall as I can’t seem to find my walls! Lol Maybe just to sit on a floor model would be good for me. Thanks again! Al Whiteside from Columbia, Illinois. 😎👍🍺

Hey Al! Good to see a fellow Illinoisan on here! Im starting to have the same problem ...cant find my walls! lol But these really do come in handy...I have seen the floor models all over the web but I dont have any measurements for them. I know it needs a 90 at the top and something in the middle to pull the two sides together so it doesnt do the splits when you add weight to it.

Center pieces are about a half inch short. You may have had different fittings.

I built one to try it and worked ok. But I am storing cvo saddlebags with an amp and speaker inside. The weight scared me a little. So I stole your idea and used black pipe to build it. It worked great and now I can keep those bags off the floor. Thanks.

What holds the bag to the bracket?
@sikbaggers
@sikbaggers 2 жыл бұрын
The angle...if youw ant to add something just add some small soft bungees...I had those extra bags hanging on there for awhile before I took al of this down and never lost one with out any straps..just make the bottom post longer so it kicks it an an angle.

I suppose reach to their own, I would have simply built a shelf on the wall and put the saddle bag on the shelf.
@sikbaggers
@sikbaggers 6 жыл бұрын
i thought about that and thought it would be to easy to knock off the wall. This takes up less space when not in use and also the bottom piece hold the bag just like the bag rail would on the bike...with the lean it would be very hard to knock these off.

I put my leather saddlebags on selves installed between the brick piers for the single brick wall of the garage. Perfect! They have never fallen.
