Jackelbrash That would be the band bc the first recording was too damn dark at another random gig. This one is much better- that being bc I'm the lighting operator here and for the band for nearly 2 years.could've used more actually but the budget was slim. Still too dark for me to be happy but at 19 I didn't have much say in how production money was spent. Oh well I'm so happy this exists- it's the only video you'll find with this lineup. Drummer Paul DeMarco from Rose Tattoo here as well as Lyndsay Hammond from Cheetah (blonde), Dennis James on lead guitar as well as musical royalty that I didn't realise at the time. Love seeing this🎸💜

You know when you think about it Stevie must have had the heart of a lion. Heroin addict since 1972, deep sleep therapy in '76, rehab in '79, constant alcohol abuse and God knows what else. He'd had the disappointment of the Easybeats comeback the year before. It wasn't what he'd hoped, and even by now at 40 years of age probably feeling the effects of health decline. Yet here he is, with the sweat pissing off him, giving a performance any live act in the world would be proud of. I've seen the best Gillen, Osbourne, Plant...none of them had this sort of energy. Saw Jagger at Randwick Racecourse in '75 BOOORING. He eventually developed diabetes and Korsakoff's Syndrome and still made it all the way to 68, even George only got to 70. I could write a book. RIP you legend.

@@TowerKing-xygt i agree with u . You're spot on. But Stevie was nevertheless considered initially briefly anyway and he did go in for a jam session but the 2nd time he didn't show up . This reinforced their suspicions of his lifestyle as u say and went with Brian Johnson. Stevie may have been Bon's idol but Bon struck up a friendship in Scotland with Brian Johnson whom he saw perform in some cover band and apparently was impressed with his showmanship and vocals. It's around this time Bon made mention of Brian Johnson to the band. The rest as they say is history.

But it was when he tried to get help for his drug addiction by checking himself in to the Chelmsford private hospital and what happened to him there is the real story. The doctors there gave him a cocktail of drugs to make him sleep for two weeks. That put him in a coma. he suffed from Brain damage, they also gave him 14 electronic shock treatment's that fried his brain. He was never the same after that. To the person that commented he should have replaced Bon Scott in AC/DC i have always said that. Brian was really good. Bon and Stevie were great though. Oh well. Brian had the last laugh. RIP Bon and Stevie. And enjoy this performance. i saw the Easybeats in Sydney in the late 80's and Stevie was still good then even though he was off his head.
