@@nathanielperryii296 I don’t listen to Em very much these days myself but I’m considering other factors such as artistry, lyrical ability, discography, impact and influence to the culture, etc. just like many others I grew up listening to Em daily and although I don’t listen to him on a consistent basis daily anymore it’s crazy to say that he isn’t one of the best to do it, especially since he still putting up numbers every time he drop. That’s not to say there isn’t anybody doing it better than him atm bc there is, but i mean as far as all time goes he’s one of the best. As far as Drake goes he is a major player in the game too for sure but he not competing with Em. I’d argue somebody like Kendrick is much closer to what Em did for hip hop.

@Milessss I'm considering all that stuff too and that's why he is not high for me. It's subjective. There are rappers that lead the way and opened doors for Eminem. There are rappers better than Eminem but didn't have the breaks that he did.

You can argue there’s rappers better than him sure, but I believe a lot more goes into being a great artist/rapper than just having good bars. In a saturated market a good rapper who's unique can find lots of success. He had the perfect storm, plus he changed his flow from his first album to something more eye catching

I rate number of classics highly that’s why nas, ll cool j, and lil Wayne (insane number of classic mixtapes maybe more than 50) get rated highly by me. Something changed when em got sober so he hasn’t had a classic since the Eminem show. Em will still slaughter a verse, though and his bars are crazy but he hasn’t had a classic in decades. Only Jay, Lil Wayne (he stared in 97) Nas and ll cool j (he started in 86) have been able to age so fantastically in hip hop.
