It has always been my thought that paperwork for the case was submitted to People’s Court before a case was accepted so the judge could look it all over to know what the case involved before airing. I've bought and sold a lot of houses. There is almost always something that comes up during inspection and there should always be a bit of give and take by both parties to fix it. An "as is" sale usually means if anything is found after the sale goes through the buyer is stuck with it. There is almost always a bit of wiggle room for getting something fixed that shows up in the before sale inspection. The Defendant seems too obstinate to sell a house smoothly. Unless she sells it dirt cheap, no one will buy it in poor condition, "as is".
