Thanks for the video. I didn't need sound. Mine went from not starting to starting and reving all the way to WOT and bogging out after 10 seconds. Still running out of fuel. Very little in bulb. I've cleaned the exhaust screen which involves removing the orange plastic and turning out the pipe via thread nut. Will take it off and try again. Fuel just pours from the float bowl so the filter is fine. Thanks for the vid.

I had an issue with high speed stalling on my MM55. Replaced the old carb with a new OEM carb and it worked perfect. Removed the bottom of the old carb (1 phillips screw). Everything was green. There is very small screen about 3/8" in diameter that I removed with dental pick. It was totally green and completely plugged from algae growing in the ethanol in the gasoline DESPITE using Stabil for ethanol gas. I soaked in carb cleaner for an hour, blew out the jets with a compressor and switched out the new carb for the old one and it also ran perfectly. Lesson learned . Don't buy a new carb until you remove and inspect the old one, use ethanol free gas, empty the fuel tank every off season and run until the unit quits and store indoors in a basement if possible.

I heard when replacing a carb you also should replace the fuel lines? How do you know when that is needed?
@kilikobanashoba Жыл бұрын
It depends: on duration of sitting without use, use of ethanol fuel, age of machine, hours of use, exposure to sun or other elements making the fuel lines brittle or clogging or deteriorating internally, one’s mechanical aptitude, how long one could have the machine out of commission for, parts availability, commercial vs residential use, …. I would replace the lines when needed, not when replacing the carb. If they are clogged or cracked; I would replace them.

What a waste of time putting on a new carb and putting back on a dirty air filter . Putting on a dirty air cleaner does that seam like the right thing to do?

Is this video supposed to have sound? I don't hear anything.

I figured there was no need for sound. Sometimes, less is more.
